It was such an amazing & special weekend with the help of Pat and her incredible team. They made it completely stress-free for us, everything was taken care of, organized and under control. We first learned about Oso Events in the summer of 2022 while remotely planning our California wedding from the East Coast. From the very first introductory call, they blew us away with their professionalism, punctuality, warmth, organization, and excellence. Without them, our wedding would not have been nearly as amazing as it was! They found us fantastic vendors in the Bay Area like the food, HMUA, DJ, and server staffing company, organized our wedding day schedule, held regular video calls with us, got quotes from vendors, kept track of our budget and payment schedule with weekly updates, arranged set-up of the ceremony and reception venue, made sure our vendors got day-of tips, and more! The only thing that could be improved is that there was a specific deadline for event liability insurance that I and the planning team all missed initially. No harm was done though! The mistake was caught in time before it affected the event, and all went well! Michelle and Raymundo excellently identified what our energy levels as a newlywed couple would be like in the week leading up to the big event, and the day of the actual wedding. Raymundo directed our impromptu ceremony rehearsal, helping our officiant and party mark their places and signaling where/when we should stand and walk. Michelle checked in with the bride and the groom consistently throughout the night of the reception, asking if we needed water, food, or other drinks since we were often distracted by the festivities. They maintained effective communication leading up to and on the day of the wedding. Their decorations at the ceremony and reception were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. At the end of the night, they managed takedown, and made sure all of the personal decorative items and remembrance photos we brought were conveniently all in the same box for us to take home. Through the yearlong process of planning, they dealt with last-minute logistical changes with incredible poise, and truly grounded us, allowing us to enjoy the day with free minds. The team even accommodated two of our guests who tested positive for COVID last-minute by setting up a separate table for them in the outdoor venue. We couldn't recommend them more highly. Not to mention, their BobaHolics boba bar was a huge hit and the photo booth was a lot of fun. We got a lot of mileage out of the sustainable decor inventory, which prevented us from having tons of wedding stuff on hand that we'd accumulate and need to resell after. The entire range of services offered by Oso is incredibly helpful and will make any event an absolute hit. We have loved working with the team and we’re so grateful they decided to take us on as clients at the start of their wedding planning journey.

Working with Miranda, Raquel, and Kylie was a true pleasure. Kylie assisted us at our rehearsal the day before our wedding, practicing the ceremony to ensure we understood the process and best practices for each bridal party member. Miranda and Raquel were there for us on our wedding date, helping set up decor, running to get breakfast for the bridal party, and being the point of contact with all our vendors. At one point, as the bride, I was getting overstimulated with all the pictures being taken in a short amount of time, and Miranda/Raquel had my back by making sure I had water and 30 minutes to center before our ceremony. I'd recommend Start Rose Creations to family and friends for any event.

I can’t say enough good things about Rachel and her team - they made our dream wedding come to life and it was better than we could have even imagined!!! From the very beginning, Rachel asked all the right questions to get to know us and our style and she helped us pick vendors that fit exactly what we wanted. She was always so patient with us and never pressured us into making any decisions that we didn’t want, always reminding us that it was our wedding and we could pretty much do it however we wanted! I asked for her opinion many times along the way, for everything from style to logistics, and she always gave us honest answers to help us make the best decisions for our wedding. Rachel and her team really shined when it was finally time for our wedding weekend - all of our guests stayed on site for the weekend and Rachel and her team were there the whole time. When I say that everything went perfectly… WOW!! It was true magic. She made sure that we didn’t need to lift a finger or worry about anything so that we could enjoy every moment of it. Wow. We truly can't recommend Demi, Delaney, Alyssa and the Wilder Mind team enough. They were absolutely amazing and truly contributed to the smoothness and ease of our wedding day. My husband and I typically consider ourselves to be a bit of control freaks, but working with Demi and Delaney we were able put our complete faith in them, let our guard down, and know that their team had it all covered. We used Wilder Mind's Day of wedding coordination services and they were on point from day one of working together pre wedding. The team was so experienced and proactive in the planning calls, thorough details, and overall organization. Having Wilder Mind cover all the minute details for the wedding and thinking of things we never would have thought to consider like ceremony seating, timeline details, and overall wedding etiquette was a huge comfort for us amidst the stress of wedding planning. We had our full trust in Demi that she would handle it, and handle it she did. Demi and Alyssa were thoughtful enough to even record 70 videos and photos for us throughout the night and shared them with us before they left, it was so nice to get to relive the beauty of such a special night after it had just flown by! Working with Blair was probably the best decision we made during the process of planning our wedding. My husband and I both work 9-5 corporate jobs, and we knew that we needed to bring someone onto our “wedding team” that would help keep us on track with all of the milestones during the wedding planning process. From the get-go, over our 15-month planning period, Blair was always transparent about timing and was a master of following up regarding timelines, without ever badgering us or coming across as controlling. She spent over an hour discussing budgets with us and our families early on, to make sure that everything we planned stayed in the budget range that we’d all agreed upon. This was especially helpful during our venue and vendor selection process. She helped us find that blew our socks off, and also found us the most wonderful florist (@thelocalpetaler) who was able to provide us way more bang for our buck than any florist we’d be able to find on our own - a huge advantage. While we had our venue already picked out, Blair was able to recommend a food and beverage package with an available catering company that fell delivered us fantastic food and a premium beverage package that fit our budget. 

Leading up to the wedding, Blair was also a master in helping us coordinate our wedding day planning including family photos, transportation e.g. coordinating our bus between multiple hotels and the venue while making it easy for us to just focus on ourselves. The peace of mind that Blair brought us throughout the planning process, week of, and day of our wedding made having our wedding a cakewalk rather than a headache. Spending the money to hire Blair was the best decision we could’ve made for our wedding!

In February of 2024 (and the year leading up to), I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca from Bustle and Bloom for my wedding, and I can't recommend her services enough! I’ve literally told all of my friends getting married that she’s the one to hire FIRST. Initially, I hired Rebecca as a wedding coordinator for day-of, but she graciously took on the role of a mini planner when I needed more help. Her patience and grace in dealing with unpleasant guests/vendors were truly commendable and appreciated as the bride and I didn’t have to handle much on the wedding day. The title says it all... Emily is IN-CRED-I-BLE!!! We worked with Emily for well over a year on our wedding and she handled anything and everything that we needed help with. Whether it was finding vendors/venues and contacting them, handling paperwork, setting up calls, tours, etc., Emily put our mind at ease with it and took care of it. On the day of our wedding Emily was a superhero..... She helped set things up, make sure everything ran smoothly, helped tear down at the end of the night, and packed our car with decorations and things we had brought for us so we had nothing to worry about. We HIGHLY highly highly (I'll say again) HIGHLY recommend hiring Emily for ANY event, but definitely hire her if you're getting married!! We initially chose her because she had good reviews and her day-of price point was within our budget. Upon our first meeting with Erika, we knew we had made the right choice. She did an awesome job of getting to know us as a couple and really took the time to understand our vision for our wedding. Despite choosing the "day-of" option, Erika met or checked-in with us frequently throughout the wedding process (about once a month to start and then 2-3 times right before our wedding day). One thing we particularly loved about her is that she ensured we remained on schedule for booking various vendors throughout the planning process. This was incredibly helpful, especially as we got 2-3 months out from our wedding. The day of our wedding, Erika was incredible. We had a few hiccups, as does every major event, but she was able to handle everything with great demand and ease. We as a couple had no idea anything had gone awry. We also made some last minute scheduling changes in the midst of our reception based on some scheduling challenges and Erika was able to take charge and pass out the information to anyone who needed it. None of our guests had any idea that any changes had been made. Overall, our experience with Erika was incredible and we would strongly recommend her for any wedding or event. She is professional and does a phenomenal job of helping everyone feel at ease throughout the entire process. We cannot thank her enough for helping our vision for our wedding come to life.

Ja'el and her team were the best vendor decision we could have possibly made for our big day. This is not an exaggeration. We did not hire a full wedding planner, and Ja'el not only helped us figure out all of the things we didn't know we needed to plan for, she helped us organize every detail, communicate with our vendors and manage our own emotions in the months leading up to the wedding. We learned so much from Ja'el and how much it takes to truly pull of every detail of a wedding through working with her. Ja'el is a straight up pro. Her and her team allowed us to do the most important thing at our wedding - be present! Everything was executed so perfectly--from the little details like welcome signs to the big things like transportation from our ceremony to the venue--that my husband and I got to be in the moment for every minute of our wedding. Throughout the planning process, Ja'el was such a proactive and open communicator. I am not even sure where to start with Jewel and the Oasis team, they were everything I could have asked for and more! I knew Oasis was going to be perfect for us from my initial video call with Jewel. After every call with Jewel I felt more and more at ease. I was unsure of what I wanted to do in terms of place cards, and Jewell suggested her sister’s business, The Chaos Edition, and she was great to work with as well! Jewel took time out of her schedule to go to my venue and see it without me so she could understand my goals for the day. Going into my wedding day I knew that everything that I asked the Oasis Team to handle would be perfect. To me, the wedding day went perfect, if there were any issues I was not aware, Jewell and her team executed the day perfectly. When people ask me how the wedding was I have no other answer besides perfect! The Oasis team handled everything for me, but most importantly to me, they did all the set-up and cleanup of the entire ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception space. They also transformed the ceremony space into the reception space during cocktail hour without missing a beat. Hiring Oasis Coordination was easily the best money I spent during the entire wedding planning process, I would absolutely do it again. My journey started in culinary school as a young adult and then as an Event Banquet Captain for various catering companies on the Central Coast. I truly can’t say enough amazing things about Carissa and her team at Positively Charming Weddings. She was the very first vendor I hired for my wedding, a year and a half in advance. Within the first 2 minutes of chatting with Carissa the first time, I knew we were the perfect match. She is incredibly organized, compassionate, an amazing listener, and isn’t afraid to take the lead and make decisions when necessary. She is thoughtful, calm, has a wealth of wedding industry knowledge and was able to provide personalized suggestions based on my preferences at every turn. To be honest, I was originally super nervous and anxious to hire a wedding planner, as I am a very type A person because of my job as a programs and event planner. But Carissa exceeded all expectations and truly was able to allow me to relax and enjoy my wedding weekend without a worry in the world. She was a problem solver every step of the way. For example, she offered to manually fixed my seating chart the day before the wedding and found a print shop willingly to print very specific last minute signage (both things that were my fault that they were delayed/wrong). She kept not only me, but my husband and both families on track leading up to the wedding, provided monthly checklists, was available via phone and email for my questions, and even provided bridal party itineraries the weekend of. Her and her team were incredibly easy to work with, and our other vendors and bridal party members said the exact same thing. She can work with anyone, with any personality type, and makes you feel important and heard. If you want someone to go above and beyond for you, look no further! She will make your day everything YOU want it to be. Couldn’t recommend her and her team more…I walked away with a new friend!

How much does a wedding planner cost?

On average, a full-service wedding planner can cost between $3,000 and $10,000. It depends on where you live and where you’re getting married. Planners in areas with high costs of living, like New York City and San Francisco, may charge upwards of $20,000. If you’re having a destination wedding, consider using a planner local to the area—you’ll avoid paying extra for travel, accommodations, and meals. Day-of coordinators cost less. They may have a flat fee between $1,000 and $5,000, or charge hourly. Always ask about pricing up front so nothing comes as a surprise later.

What do wedding planners do?

Think of wedding planners as jack-of-all-trades experts when it comes to weddings. Many offer different levels of service to meet your needs. If you just want day-of coordination, for example, your planner will be there to make sure your ceremony and reception go off without a hitch. This may mean setting up vendors or directing your wedding party and guests to make sure everyone is where they need to be at the right time. On the other end of the spectrum, full-service planning may involve:

  • Starting the planning far in advance
  • Budget management

  • Staying on top of trends and making suggestions

Should we get a wedding planner?

Planners are great resources and can make planning your wedding much less stressful. If you’ve got the budget, a wedding planner is well worth the investment. Planners offer different service levels at varying price points. Choose the amount of help and cost that makes the most sense for you. At the bare minimum, you need someone (hired or delegated) to help manage the event day-of so you will be able to enjoy yourselves without worrying about too many logistics. If you decide to enlist a friend or family member to take on this role, keep in mind that this person will need to prioritize your needs over their own, and will no longer be attending or enjoying the wedding simply as a guest.
