Steven Rosen Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,200

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steven photographed our wedding and prepared photos and an album for us. His work throughout was excellent, from input on a schedule for photos during the event, to posing the family and guests, suggesting positive changes to some steps of the ceremony, capturing great moments, keeping the day on track, and working with us on the album. His layout and editing for the album were terrific, very professional, attentive to themes and telling the story through images, and with a great eye for combinations. We recommend Steven without hesitation for your special days!

Kayla Tiffany Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style

Hi, I'm Kayla! I'm so glad you're here! I was asked to talk about why I'm passionate about my work. Well for one, I love meeting new couples. It brings me a lot of joy creating images for couples who want to preserve timeless memories. It's not just about the images but really connecting with my couples to make sure to make sure they have an effortless experience with me.

I'm a wedding planner and I collaborated with Kayla on a styled shoot. She was incredible to work with throughout the entire process. She was extremely responsive, attentive to details and a truly sweet human being. On shoot day, Kayla worked her butt off in the 90 degree temperatures hustling from location to location. She has an eye for finding the perfect light, capturing flattering angles and bringing out your personality. None of that matters if the photos don't come out well- but as I expected, the photos were drop dread gorgeous! They exceeded all my expectations for the shoot and I'm just so grateful I had the chance to work with her. I very much look forward to referring her to my couples. So get her while you can...just book her! Do it!

Vik Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style

Central to the art of capturing our most treasured moments in a non-manufactured fashion is the photographer’s ability to put his subject at ease. Vik approaches his work holistically with this in mind. His photography is unforced and confidently guided by his artistic vision, recognizing that more is at stake than a photograph. His sensitivities extend beyond lighting, pose, and composition, reaching deeper into mood, context, and flow.

Awarded Best of Zola
Vik was a pleasure to work with! We felt relaxed around him and his easygoing demeanor made us feel more natural when posing for photos. A big reason why we chose him was for his style—documentarian, intimate and not overly posed. He has a great eye and was able to capture so many beautiful, candid moments in our wedding. We're so happy with the photos and feel lucky to have had Vik document our day. Thank you!

PhotoDH

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,500

This isn’t about me loving coffee or early morning bike rides along the water, but it’s about capturing your special day and making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve always said that life is too short to not have it documented. It’s this philosophy that has propelled me into the world of photography. I am a fellow New Yorker who loves preserving timeless memories through photography. My photographic style is photojournalistic in the sense that all my photos build onto the next, creating a narrative story. I am here to provide you a rich and memorable experience, one that you cannot get anywhere else in the world.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jaymo of PhotoDH on multiple occasions. As a a peer and fellow wedding vendor, I've watched him and the PhotoDH team deliver an experience that truly delivers beyond any client expectations. Refined, intentional and detail-oriented are three adjectives that I would use to define the work that they do. He has been so kind to share galleries of past clients that we've shared. As a florist, photographs of details in the wedding are so integral in defining the over all creative direction, vision and distinctive story a client tells. He captures them all in multiple light settings, multiple angles and perspectives. After viewing his galleries, I realized nothing is overlooked which truly characterizes how much effort he and his team give to a clients wedding day. I cannot full heartedly recommend him enough.

Jenica Elena Studio

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,500

Hi, my name is Jenica! I'm a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. Equipped with a BFA degree in photography and documentary production, a few cameras, and an old station wagon, I drove cross country from Utah to New York City in 2010. I went back to school for my MFA in photography at Hartford Art School and graduated in 2020.

My husband and I often say that booking Jenica was the best decision we made for our wedding. She did our engagement photos, photography for our small Covid church wedding, and both photo and video for our delayed large wedding celebration. Each time we received work from her, I thought she couldn’t possibly top herself—but she always did!! Our photos from each event are somehow curated, bespoke, perfect, and bright—while also looking real and representative of us. I was so worried to have wedding photos that looked cheesy or that didn’t feel like me, like so many of my friends had. But somehow Jenica managed to capture the essence of our relationship and personalities to a tee, while also making it look like journalistic art! I am in love with all my photos and always will be; I know they will continue to look classic for years to come. Not to mention—Jenica and any team she brings along are always a delight to work with. When we parted ways after our third time working together, I truly felt we had built a friendship. She was a comforting presence to me on every big stressful day she photographed—I felt I could look to her for leveling and support. Through many adjusted timelines and events, she was always flexible and kind in a sea of pandemic wedding planning chaos. I could not recommend Jenica more highly to anyone who is considering—I continue to recommend her to all my friends and hope to continue to work with her for years to come!

Susan Stripling Photography

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $4,700

To the point : I love my job. I am honored to document love in all forms, I take it seriously and with great respect. I'm Brooklyn-based, love horror movies and my dog, and would love to be your wedding photographer.

Unique, breathtaking photos from a passionate, delightful artist. We LOVE Susan’s style: dramatic, ephemeral, and so playful. As creatives ourselves, we wanted a photographer who did more than just capture our wedding; she made ART that is timeless and unforgettable. But don’t be intimidated, she’s one of the most down-to-earth, easygoing, and delightful people I’ve ever met. We had so much fun with her and were honored to have her as our photographer.

Hilo & Ginger

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $6,000

Hilo & Ginger was founded by me in 2013. Born in Austria and raised around the world, the traveling gene has been soever present. I am based in New York City, shooting weddings & editorials worldwide.

Luca, at Hilo & Ginger, was an absolute gem to work with! You will not find a more versatile, go-with-the-flow, able to adapt to anything photographer. She is professional, hard-working and personable which really puts you at ease while you are posing and standing for tons of pictures throughout the day. Sometimes we didn't even know she was there capturing the greatest candid shot. Seriously, we cannot recommend her enough. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel stressed and Luca makes sure to alleviate any potential stress, while staying on top of her A game with every shot!! Luca never missed a single moment- not one. She captured moments that we didn't even know had existed, until we were looking over our photos together. She perfectly captured all the joy of our day in laughing candids, funny photos and still took some of the most gorgeous and breathtaking shots I've ever seen. Did I mention she did the entire shoot in the rain in freezing cold weather? Not once did she complain and the photos she took came out stunning. She was ready to work on the fly in any environment. Like I said, a no-stress wedding photographer is absolutely a MUST when it comes to weddings ladies, trust me! When my husband, James, and I got married in NYC, we were very worried that we would not be able to find a quality photographer in Manhattan that would fit our limited budget, but Luca exceeded our expectations in giving us a great deal that fit right within our budget and she gave us GORGEOUS photos. Not to mention she sent us some of the edited photos the same day...THE SAME DAY. I'm telling you, working with Luca was unlike any other experience I've had, witnessed at other weddings, or heard of from my friends. 10/10 would recommend. You would be foolish not to consider hiring Hilo & Ginger to make your wedding dreams come true.

Hey! I’m zack and I live in Brooklyn. I moved here over a year ago because I love shooting fashion. I snuck into fashion week a few years ago while visiting from Los Angeles, and ended up booking a few clients. Since then I’ve now had the pleasure to work with Diane Von Furstenberg, Helmut Lang, Anna Sui, Marchesa, Oscar De La Renta, and a few other favorites. I started taking pictures on my dad’d old film camera years beforehand and am proud to say I’ve photographed over 200 weddings, mostly on film. I also love to travel and have visited 26 countries so far. Thailand is gorgeous. I’m laid back, easy going, and know how to have fun.

Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. Summing up who I am in an "about me" is always difficult. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can. Woman/LGBTQIA+ Owned

Awarded Best of Zola
We got very lucky finding Mary as our photographer. She was our photographer for our engagement party, engagement photos, and the wedding day. She always made time to talk and keep an open line of communication! She was great at making us feel comfortable and giving directions (which we definitely needed). Mary is also extremely thoughtful and I really appreciate the little things she had done to make everything as perfect as possible!

Hi! My name is Madison, but you can call me Maddi. Raised in Maryland, I've lived in Colorado, South Dakota, and Germany. I now live in Philly with my husband and our two dogs. After so many moves, Philly really is the place that feels like home. I've always had a love for photography and I feel privileged to bring my passion to life. I want my photos to capture the genuine feeling of the moment and to reflect you and your story.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are absolutely thrilled with our experience with Madison! From the moment we met, she was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. She made the whole process feel so natural and enjoyable, which was so important on such a big day. Not only was she professional, but she went above and beyond in ways we didn’t expect. For example, when I was struggling to pin something to my dress, she immediately jumped in to help—something totally outside her job description, but she did it with a smile and made sure everything was perfect. It was those little thoughtful gestures that truly set her apart. And of course, the photos are nothing short of stunning! We absolutely love her style and the way she uses color. She made sure to capture every important moment, and we now have beautiful memories to cherish forever. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for not just a photographer, but someone who genuinely cares about making your day perfect.

Hey! I'm Jess, the owner of the company that's named after me - shocking, right? I'm from the suburbs of Philly but now live up in the mountains of Northeast PA in Montrose, right on the border of Central NY. I'm married to a woodworker (who HAD to be the inspiration behind Ron Swanson because they're the same human), we live on 25 acres with three huge dogs (2 Golden Retrievers and one Great Pyrenees) and three ducks - and I'm constantly begging for more animals. I'm outgoing, sarcastic & humorous, and I love organization/cleaning, sushi, reading, The Office, and traveling everywhere I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jess is the BEST of the best. Truly!! We had obsessed over her beautiful work from afar for months prior to reaching out, she has the most insane eye for composition and color. Before the wedding, she kept in touch with us actively and answered all our questions with ease! But the real treat was when we actually met. Our whole wedding day (and our engagement photos too!) felt like we were just hanging out with a great friend. When she arrived on our wedding day, we jumped right into easy joking and laughing like she had spent the whole day with us already! She has this crazy knack for eliciting genuine joy in photos just by being her warm, bubbly self. We never felt any insecurity while taking photos with her. She effortlessly coaches poses and captures the silly little candid moments that make the day unique! Jess was so prepared for the wedding day, and super knowledgeable about the little wedding details that you wouldn’t consider. She offered her help and support in a way that never felt intrusive. Jess got our group photos done in a jiffy and was SO EFFICIENT. She made us laugh the whole day through and contributed to the vibes of the day so well. You can tell from her work that Jess puts so much care into editing and composing each and every shot, we have spent so much time admiring all of our photos. We could not have asked for a more spectacularly captured time capsule of our day, we will treasure these photos forever. We would recommend Jess to absolutely anyone who asks (and even those who don’t.)

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

Jenny was incredible. She photographed our engagement photoshoot and July 2024 wedding. Her eye for visual beauty and ability to understand what you are looking for with your photos makes her an outstanding photographer. There wasnt one second of our wedding day that wasnt captured because of her. We are so thankful to have hired Jenny to capture our moments. We hired Jenny after seeing the stunning photos she captured at a friends wedding, two more of my friends then hired her from this recommendation as well and i think it speaks volumes about how amazing Jenny is that so many friends hired her as well.

Daniel was amazing to work with from start to finish. He was able to answer any and all questions we had along the way. Communication was 10/10! He was quick to reply and setting up appointments to talk was super easy. He was so mindful and prepared on the day of the wedding from a timeline to making sure all of the photos I wanted were captured. What truly amazed me was how he captured our raw and candid moments from getting ready to busting a move on the dance floor. Him and his team captured all of the special moments in a way that did not feel invasive or like they were interrupting any moments. His style is vibrant and lively and truly everything we wanted in a photographer. When booking my wedding we first found the venue and then I said to my husband, we are booking Daniel for photography. And I'm SO glad we did!

Storytelling by Tony & Olya

We’ve stood in your shoes, and we know how important it is to capture a story full of meaning and heart. Our goal is to narrate the day as we see it, embracing every emotion and sentiment that unfolds. With over a decade of experience, we’ve told countless stories—sometimes we can predict the moments, and other times they surprise us. But we’re always excited to discover and capture the next amazing story.

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Tony and Olya was beyond anything we could have imagined. They didn’t just capture our wedding day at Hudson House in Jersey City—they immortalized it in the most stunning, breathtaking way possible. From our first look, with the city as our backdrop, to every intimate, emotional moment, they transformed what was a rainy day into a masterpiece of light, emotion, and beauty. Every shot, every angle was perfect. Before the wedding, I had the chance to meet with Olya, and that made all the difference. She took the time to sit down with us and really listen to what we wanted. We talked through our vision for the day, and Olya helped shape that vision into something even better than we imagined. She also worked with us to create a timeline that kept everything running smoothly without ever feeling rushed. Her professionalism and creativity were exactly what we needed, and it gave me so much confidence going into the big day. Olya was also incredible during the getting ready process. She was so attentive to every little detail—the dress, the shoes, the rings, and all the small, meaningful touches that might have been overlooked. She captured everything beautifully, and her calm, professional presence helped me feel relaxed in the midst of all the excitement. It felt like having a close friend there who just happens to be an extraordinary photographer. During our engagement session in Curaçao, Tony and Olya made us feel like absolute superstars. We weren’t just taking photos—we were living a dream. They even created a short video alongside the session, and it’s something so deeply beautiful that we’ll show it to our children and their children. It was an experience we’ll never forget, and neither will anyone else who sees their work. Their ability to direct us, make us feel comfortable, and anticipate moments is nothing short of magic. Tony and Olya work together with such seamless synergy, always one step ahead, making sure every single detail is captured beautifully. From the very first planning stages to the final shot, they took care of everything—keeping the timeline, offering ideas, and helping us relax, while making every moment an experience to savor. Tony and Olya are worth every single penny. The way they captured the essence of our love, the laughter, the tears, and the joy—it’s priceless. I can’t imagine anyone else I’d trust to capture all of our future milestones, because I know that they’ll always go above and beyond. If you’re looking for photographers who will not just meet your expectations but blow them out of the water, look no further. Tony and Olya’s passion, talent, and energy are unmatched. I am beyond excited to continue working with them for every big moment in our lives. They are truly one of a kind.

I’ve spent years refining an approach that allows me to sincerely honor the moment — knowing when to step in and adjust a subject or environment, and sensing when to stand back and allow a moment to just be. With me, your photographs will be an intentional representation of this time of your life — imagery that will make you feel like it was just yesterday, and yet, feel forever untouched by time. Truly, the honor is all mine. Thank you for considering me to document this luxuriously intimate wedding event.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about April and Mike. We, like so many others right now were a COVID couple, who were forced to postpone their wedding day several times. April and Mike hung in with us, from Dec 2019 Engagement Photos until FINALLY photographing our wedding on July 3, 2021. They are so easy and responsive with communication, and they work wonderfully together as a team. We have been so pleased with how well they captured our personalities, and the beauty of our wedding day. If you are looking for professional, easy-going photographers that will willingly go above and beyond for the perfect shot, look no further than April and Mike.
