Hey there, my name is Bailey! I am an artist, business woman, wifey, nerd, Brooklyn-ite, and matcha fiend who’s endlessly curious about the world around me. I strive to make the world better by capturing love authentically, spreading positivity & happiness, and supporting organizations that are doing the work to preserve our planet & enrich the lives of marginalized communities. With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

We are incredibly happy with our wedding photos! Bailey really has "the eye." Her artsy and elegant photos are magazine-worthy and really tell a story. If you're looking for the opposite of cheesy wedding photography, your search ends here. I was already quite certain I was going to book Bailey based on her portfolio alone, but the introductory video phone call sealed the deal. Bailey's warm and friendly personality really puts you at ease, and by the time our wedding day(s) (an elopement and later reception) arrived, it felt like we were having our pictures taken by a dear friend.

Emily came highly recommended by a friend who knew we wanted a photographer who could capture sweet candid moments and make us feel at ease. Emily was proactive from the start, getting to know us and what we wanted out of our engagement photos. She listened to our ideas, offered expert recommendations, and created the perfect mood board. We are so grateful for Emily's expert guidance, which took our natural energy and channeled it to feature our best angles. Our engagement photos are so special, thanks to Emily!

Steph Smith Photo

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

If you're the kind of couple that would prefer their photographer feel like one of the guests as opposed to a paparazzi, and if when the neighbors complain about the noise, you just invite them to the party, keep reading. I take a documentary-style approach to my weddings. Roaming with a camera, I capture the candid moments and small details that make your wedding unique to you, while making sure to set aside time for a few special portraits.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph is a wizard, ninja, and a unicorn all rolled into one. From the minute we reached out to her she immediately made us know we were in good hands. She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!

Awarded Best of Zola
Patricia at East River Photography was such a delight to work with! Her work was stunning and exactly what my husband and I wanted. We were blown away initially with the gorgeous engagement photos she took of us on the Brooklyn Bridge. It's always been a dream of mine to do photos at that location and she was able to capture exactly what I wanted; the towers in the background and shots of the city behind us! Just gorgeous! We shared our ideas for the wedding photos with Patricia and after a walkthrough of the venue we were set and excited to work with one another. My husband and I had a dark wedding and Patricia was very open and loved so many of our ideas, which was a breathe of fresh air! She had no judgments and was genuinely excited to work with our themes! Day of the wedding Patricia and her assistant worked tirelessly to capture all of our special moments. We wanted lots of family photos, which my husband and I both have large hispanic families, with LOTS of cousins, Tios and Tias, so it was no easy task. They got it all! I didn't have to worry day of at all where they were or if they were getting the shots we wanted. Patricia was there and ready! When we finally got the photos WE WERE BLUSHING! We had the biggest smiles on our faces as we relived our happiest day! The photos were absolutely beautiful, captured every special moment, and we couldn't be happier. We were thrilled and so happy not only with the photos but the gorgeous album she put together. Working with Patricia throughout the whole process was fantastic, she worked within our budget and schedule which was so amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm very happy to leave this five-star review for her and her team. Keep up the great work and will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Mae Krell Photo

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,250

Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Awarded Best of Zola
I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work, meticulousness, and experience in photography, as well as the very quick turnaround time. My fiance and I truly cannot recommend her enough, and we are excited to work with her again in the future. She is truly an artist, and any couple would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

Natura Collective

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

Hey there! My partner Emilio and I have been shooting together for over 5 years. I personally shot my first wedding back in 2010! We're an LGBT owned company and we are so so so passionate about making sure everyone feels represented in a sometimes white-washed straight appearing industry, we love inclusivity. Our main goal is you having the best stress-free and FUN wedding photo/video experience.

I’m not sure I need to say much beyond the amazing attached photos, but Natura Collective has amazing wedding photography and we cannot recommend them more highly. They were super responsive and flexible (even as we accidentally lost them in our spam filter until a month before the wedding!) and we first met them on the day before our wedding (we turned our engagement photoshoot into a last-day-of-engagement photoshoot). They were super friendly and very good at making us feel like natural photo subjects - which is impressive given that my wife’s biggest source of nerves for the wedding was maybe having so many photos taken of her! They were super receptive to our needs and desired photo style, never pushing us to take more photos when they knew we had enough, and we cannot recommend them more highly.

I'm Karen, a wedding and portrait photographer based in New York City but can travel anywhere! I've been working as a photographer full time for the last 10 years and in that time have managed to photograph over 200 weddings or something like that. I'm from Virginia originally and was always interested in photography and got my first big break at a friend's wedding! I moved to NYC in 2011 and live in Brooklyn with my partner Austin and our two dogs Blanca and Bort. We have a very large record collection and love trying natural wines!

As a professional Floral Designer, I get to meet and work with an abundance of wedding photographers. Karen's work really stands out! After seeing the photos from a recent wedding we worked on together, I cannot recommend her more to couples looking for their photographer. Not only are the images beautifully edited but the moments she has the eye to capture are unexpected treasures! Her work is both personal and professional, two of the most important qualities to look for in a photographer.

We are absolutely obsessed with our wedding photos and videos! This team seriously brought their A-game and made our special day even more magical. From the start, they were super chill and easy to work with. On the big day, they were like ninjas, capturing every awesome moment without being in the way. They have such a knack for finding those perfect, candid shots that totally show the real us. Plus, the way they set up the posed photos. Tess and Julia Weddings

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

Our names are Tess Mayer & Julia Wang and we are photography duo based in NYC. We met our freshman year at NYU Tisch and since then have run a magazine together, worked as teaching assistants at ICP & NYU, and shot our first wedding our senior year. Our style is a blend of candid documentary and stylized portraiture - we approach your day not as strangers following you around, but as excited guests (who happen to be carrying around cameras and massive lenses) who will most likely cry during your vows. We love small, intimate and relaxed weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
We knew Tess personally and contacted her about photographing our wedding because we were fans of her professional work. It was one of the best choices of our no-frills wedding. We chose to get married at the courthouse in downtown Brooklyn on a Friday morning with family and then have a separate party in Williamsburg the following night with family and friends. With Tess, we were able to put all the photography stuff on auto-pilot and never worry about it. The planning process was extremely easy. Once we got her price (which was more than reasonable and a really good value) and paid half for a deposit, she blocked off the two days she would join us. Other than planning to take an extra hour or two after the Friday ceremony, that was all the preparation that went into it. She may have scouted the area in person or via map or just known the area. Either way, she was really in control with a plan once we got there. On the day of the ceremony, Tess came to the courthouse and basically just worked her magic. We were able to go on with whatever we had to do and Tess just moved around and through us taking photos opportunistically. She got some action shots of us in the waiting room and signing the papers and some portraits with our flowers and family. Tess's major strength is finding amazing scenes in the moment, and you don't even know they're happening. She has an amazing eye for pictures. And best of all, she captured them with us being able to go on with our day, barely noticing her darting around us. She of course photographed the little ceremony in the courthouse and then we took about an hour in the big hallway for family portraits. She was fast at organizing us and snapping through all the necessary combinations of people. Very efficient. Then we went outside with a smaller group and went to a few nice locations nearby. On the steps of a municipal building, crossing the street to a little park, and then the subway. It was fast, it was efficient, and we didn't even know until later how amazing the photos really were. They are not average photos. They are unique and artistic and beautiful. Once again Tess found the little scenes happening in front of us. She really has a great eye for framing and light. We didn't know just how cool they were until we saw them later. We then took a 30 minute subway ride getting some classic New York shots. On the second day, Tess arrived at the location of our party, and once again it was stress-free. She spent 2-3 hours weaving through the crowd capturing action shots of talking, eating, drinking, dancing, and also was very good at putting groups together every now and then and taking group portraits. It was the least hassling part of the party. Maybe a week or two later she sent us a link to the photos. She sifted through all of them (somehow), got rid of the bad ones, and touched up the good ones. We were able to download the folders of photos so we could share with our friends. Later, we ended up printing some glossy pictures of our favorite artsy shots from outside the courthouse and on the subway to put up in our apartment. And from time to time we print some little ones for little frames too. Whenever we want, we can tap into our repository and remember the great weekend. All in all, there were 500-600 photos that amazingly captured everything we would've wanted without us worrying if anyone was there to capture it.

Far Out Feeling

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200

Meaghan here - I’m the one from which you’ll hear a lot of “Fuck yeah!!!” and “You guys look so hot!” My inspiration comes from our lord and savior, Janis Joplin, and my style is free movement and honesty. Howdy! I'm Brendon, a quiet Mid-Westerner turned East-Coast loud-mouth who happens to have a knack for photography, editing, graphic illustration, and all things creative. My background comes from shooting fashion shows and exclusive events for BFA.com around NYC, which made me appreciate the avant-garde.

We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We perhaps didn’t consider how crucial this feeling of comfort was, but when you think about, you do spend a tremendous portion of your wedding day with your photographers. Meaghan and Brendon felt like friends, which made even the parts of the wedding that we don’t like (posing!) feel easy, natural, and fun. Meaghan and Brendon were incredibly responsive, from first to last. They always got back to us the day we had a question, and even weeks after our wedding, they were responding to our technical difficulties within minutes. And the photos themselves turned out great! Again, you’ve probably seen evidence of this already. We cannot wait to print them, frame them, and, in all likelihood, post them relentlessly to our Instagram stories. A huge thank you to Meaghan and Brendon, who we recommend whole-heartedly.

A Parisian transplant based in Brooklyn, I fell into with wedding photography very randomly on a New Year's Eve and it was an instant match for me. Since then, I've shot weddings in all sorts of venues from massive mansions to art galleries in New-York, Paris, the French Riviera, Scotland, and Portugal. When I'm not shooting weddings, you'll find me at home with my cat and husband, or travelling across the world. 30 countries and counting!

Carole was great to work with over the course of our engagement shoot and wedding day. She is organized, thoughtful and has great suggestions to get the right kind of photos that will make your day memorable. Love her style and would highly recommend!

Wandermore Photography

Brooklyn, NY

We're Wandermore Photography - wedding photographers and adventurers based in NYC. I was gifted a camera from my father (not an uncommon story) while taking an elective photography course in college. I fell in love with it and immediately dropped out and continued to practice and self educate. Shortly after, I fell in love with capturing weddings and all of the amazing moments that happen throughout the day. The real and true moments are what really get to me, and are my absolute favorite to photograph.

Awarded Best of Zola
Words can't express how much we loved working with Wandermore! We had 2 sets of friends who used Wandermore for wedding photography, and one couple had Michelle photograph and the other had Rachel. We absolutely loved their pictures, so knew we wanted to go with them as well. Price-wise, they are reasonable and on par with or less than many other photographers. We really loved their style of photos -- they're fun, playful, honest, natural, and really capture energy and feelings so beautifully without feeling posed, static, rigid, or overly edited. After a bit of discussion, we chose to have Rachel as our photographer. She did an engagement shoot with us which was really helpful. We got to know her a little bit and vice versa. She was soooo sweet and made us much more comfortable being photographed, and encouraged us to just be ourselves, which resulted in some of the most beautiful photos. On our wedding day, Rachel was equally wonderful. She was organized and made sure to check in with us to be sure we were getting photos with groups that we had wanted, and again she did an amazing job of capturing our love and our amazing day! Cassidy was also great. We were definitely a little nervous not only having our picture taken, but doing so all dressed up, and they made it comfortable and fun and everyone told us how much they liked Rachel and Cassidy as people! We 10000000% recommend Wandermore to anyone looking for a photographer!

As soon as I saw Anna's portfolio, I knew I wanted her to photograph our wedding. Her photographs looked so ethereal and magical and I loved the way she managed to make the couples look candid but also beautifully posed at the same time. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer and the photographs were some of the most beautiful images and we couldn't be happier. Hi there! I’m Daniel Martinez, and I’m thrilled to connect with you! My passion for photography ignited at just 14 years old, and I’ve been dedicated to this creative journey ever since. With a decade of experience in wedding photography, I’ve had the joy of working with fantastic publications like ESPN, PDN, and The New York Times. I focus on a documentary style, capturing genuine, candid moments that tell your unique story. My goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to fully enjoy your special day while I document the heartfelt connections between you and your loved ones. I’d love to chat!

We hired Danny to take our engagement photos and we couldn't be any happier with how they turned out. Danny's eye is unmatched. We took the pictures on Danny's referral at beautiful Rockland Lake State Park around sunset. His knowledge & usage of natural lighting was truly impressive. Danny's communication throughout the shoot was flawless; he knew what to say and how to say it to catch the most amazing photos. We're beyond excited to have him shoot our wedding next September in Lake Placid, NY!

Before we even met, Ryan and Tatiana had 10 years experience as wedding photographers, and Ryan had been named one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World by the two top industry magazines, American Photo and Rangefinder. We didn't mean to fall in love with the person whose style and experience fit most neatly with each others', but it happened. Now we manage our business and creative passion with our other passion … parenting our Tasmanian Devil of a toddler, Gavin, in our happy place of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

Ryan and Tatiana are consummate professionals, reliable, inventive, trustworthy, problem-solvers, opportunity-finders, fun, warm, caring...if you want to feel comfortable with your photographers on multiple levels, hire them. Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. Candid moments, humor and a refined eye are the hallmarks of my photography. Hard work, experience and a love for what I do make it all come together. Born in Minnesota I road-tripped to New York City some 15 years ago to pursue my photography dreams. My then-girlfriend of 2 weeks, Lisa, was riding shotgun in the U-Haul. Fast forward to today and I am blessed to call Lisa my wife and Brooklyn our home. We have two wonderful girls, Ava and Ruby, that bring me endless joy. I’m hopelessly addicted to tennis! My door is always open to new ideas and projects. Please drop me a line. Josh

I have known and work with Josh for over 15 years ALWAYS with amazing results. His photos speak volumes and he's so easy going. He focuses on the clients first and foremost. Always on time, always stays late and delivers amazing images that really tell the story of the wedding day/celebration. Two thumbs up, five stars and all the other accolades you can imagine!
