About Jenny Flora Photography

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

With a background in documenting real life in motion, I instantly fell in love with wedding photography; the intensely joyous emotions of friends and family, and the unfettered love between two people. I am honored to be included in these celebrations of love. You’ll see me with a huge smile on my face while I’m capturing your greatest memories unfolding.

Jenny was an absolute pleasure to work with. She photographed our engagement photos a year before our wedding, which helped get us comfortable in front of the camera. Jenny was very responsive leading up to the wedding and helped ensure our day ran smoothly and on time. Of course, she captures magical shots and has a unique eye for photo opportunities and color

We hired Jenny for our wedding in Asbury Park in November 2024. She was very helpful and supportive during the planning phase. On the day of the wedding, Jenny was punctual and helped us stick to our tight schedule for the day. She was super professional and supportive with choosing locations and poses for our shots - we did not have to worry and the shots came out so amazing! During the ceremony and reception she was able to capture all our special moments while still allowing us to experience and enjoy our event. Looking through the album, we are so happy with how the pictures turned out. She really captured the essence of us and the joy we felt on our big day. We would highly recommend Jenny's photography services!

Jenny was incredible. She photographed our engagement photoshoot and July 2024 wedding. Her eye for visual beauty and ability to understand what you are looking for with your photos makes her an outstanding photographer. There wasnt one second of our wedding day that wasnt captured because of her. We are so thankful to have hired Jenny to capture our moments. We hired Jenny after seeing the stunning photos she captured at a friends wedding, two more of my friends then hired her from this recommendation as well and i think it speaks volumes about how amazing Jenny is that so many friends hired her as well.

Jenny is Waterloo Village's preferred photographer and it's incredibly easy to see why! We researched so many photographers and were having a hard time finding a) ones that fit our style and b) were available for a not astronomical price. When we looked up Jenny's info, we were immediately excited by how clean, bright, and airy her photos are. She definitely did not disappoint for our wedding either! Jenny was always communicative, helped us build our ideal shot list, and had a lot of good suggestions for how to make the most out of our time. Her experience with the venue was a huge boon here as we easily got all our traditional posed photos done with time to spare pre-ceremony, and she knew the perfect route to take us around the venue (which is huge and has so many photo opps). She and the day assistant Nicolette she brought on are also just super nice and easy to be around which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. They never once made us feel awkward or forced. She turned around our highlights within a week which was an incredible surprise to get on our honeymoon and I love every single picture already. We definitely recommend Jenny!
