Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. Summing up who I am in an "about me" is always difficult. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can.

Connection is everything. It is the catalyst for a fantastic experience and without, it can lead to totally awkward moments (and photos). Making a genuine connection with you is my top priority. Having Mary as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first phone call to engagement photos to the day of she was so helpful, warm, and organized; she made getting the photos we wanted and being where we needed to be at the right time feel so easy and fun. And the photos speak for themselves; we absolutely love them!!

From the first phone call, I knew we'd found something special in Mary. Her warmth only equals her professionalism. I can't tell you how many photographers we spoke to before meeting her, but now, sitting with our album in front of us, I know finding her was worth the struggle. Her photos are gorgeous and I can feel myself back in these moments as I look through them. There was a serious hiccup during our wedding day where one of my grandparents was severely late which ended up pushing the entire rest of the day back almost an hour. Mary remained so cool and collected (unlike myself) and quickly worked with the staff at the venue to ensure we would have time for all of the photos we'd planned and still enjoy our time with our guests for the rest of the evening.

It’s somehow already been over a year since we got married, and any time our wedding gets brought up, Mary is the first topic. How wonderful she is, how out-of-this-world talented she is, how much we wish we could be photographed by her again. To only reflect on how accommodating and professional Mary is (and she is) would be a disservice to all of the other things she brought to our day. Ultimately Mary ended up feeling like a vital organ to us. She gave clear direction for a shot, while always managing to let us be completely natural. She felt so intimately a part of each moment, while somehow still cultivating a feeling of total privacy. I also can’t tell you the number of times that either my wife or I couldn’t find our purse, shoes, bouquet, etc. only for Mary to already have it in her hands. She was our constant, our steadying force. We asked Mary to capture our totally sincere obsession with each other in the most organic way possible, and she delivered in spades. I could go on and on, because truly I have never felt more beautiful than in these wedding photos, but the moral of the story is, just hire Mary for everything you want captured in its truest form. You wont be disappointed.

Mary is the easiest person to work with, she is knowledgeable, follows her intuition, and treats everyone she encounters with a genuine warmth and kindness as if she has known them forever. She not only took our engagement photos in our backyard, but returned a year later to shoot our backyard wedding. Our friends and family all adored her and I would lovingly refer her to anyone searching for a photographer. Not only are her people skills admirable, her photography is beautiful. Our wedding photos are a dream and I go through them often. She captured the coziness of our event and the love everyone has for one another in the photos. She took and needed very little direction coming from myself, knowing little of photography or traditional wedding photos. She even helped me in understanding a traditional flow of events. I would happily seek her out again and/or implore her to take any future photos we require, as I can't imagine being so comfortable with another photographer now. I can not say enough nice things about MJC image.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

In my 6 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

You can expect about 50-70 images per hour of photographing (even more when you book a second photographer). But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

You will receive a sneak peek within a week of your wedding day!! Then the full gallery within three months.

I am the sole editor for MJC Image. Everything comes through me, even video. What I can promise are fully-edited, enhanced, high-resolution images that you will obsess over.

Sometimes, I’ll suggest one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. This will be something we discuss together and make the best decision for your perfect day.

I typically open my books 12 months out. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

If you're looking at a date marked off on the Zola calendar, PLEASE reach out anyway. I have two Lead Associates who are incredible and whose voices have become integral to the MJC Weddings look. I'll still be along for the planning process and every image will still be edited by me (and a little secret: you get a discount!).
