We hired them as our day of/month of coordinator, but their assistance started right from the get-go. Laura provided us with tools to keep track of all of the important to-dos throughout the wedding planning process. We also had meetings where Laura meticulously walked us through each aspect of our day to make sure things were running smoothly and according to plan, as well as regular attendance with our other vendor meetings to make sure everyone was on the same page. Laura and Amethyst were amazing on the big day, coordinating both sides of the wedding party, fielding all questions and requests, and taking a lot of unwanted stress off of our plates. Bre met with me a year prior to my wedding, helped create a spreadsheet to keep track of all vendors, gave amazing recommendations on vendors, did a walk through of the venue with me, created timelines, helped with o ur rehearsal & so much more. All of that was done BEFORE the wedding day was even here. Bre goes above and beyond to coordinate all your vendors and puts so much effort in making sure your vision comes to life. The day of my wedding I, nor anyone in the bridal party was bothered with vendor questions which really allowed everyone to just be able to relax. When arriving to our venue Bre had helped set up the decor and everything was stunning. Because I live close by her she even came and picked up my welcome sign prior to the wedding day along with the marriage certificate so I truly had nothing to worry about the day of the wedding. Bre helped everyone stay on track with timing, helped everyone throughout the ceremony know where to stand, when to start walking, etc - which is so helpful when you’re trying to get a bunch of people in a bridal party to listen. Once the wedding was over Bre packed up all of our decor making sure everything was extremely organized and she even took home my flower bouquet since I was having it preserved and helped coordinate that to ensure the bouquet would be safe at the end of the night. “I found Alexa on the Knot and booked her for Monarch’s full wedding planning package as my husband & I were planning a wedding outside of Chicago in an unconventional venue, 9 months away, and lived in another state. It was a big challenge but from the initial consultation, we loved Alexa’s energy, organization, commitment and just knew we could trust her with our once in a lifetime event. The planning process was extremely organized, thorough and well-paced. She matched my attention to detail, tackled unplanned challenges with ferocity (which included a limited selection of vendors given the location of our venue) and was as dedicated to bringing my very specific vision to life as I was. She met with us to understand our vision and to provide direction so that we were realistic in how the day would look. She was extremely responsive in emails, texts, and calls. “Cotten Designs was an incredible wedding planning partner from start to finish. Marissa and her team were incredibly flexible, highly responsive, and approachable communicators throughout the entire planning process. They were always quick to respond to our questions and adaptive to any changes we needed to make. For example, Marissa helped us come up with the perfect wedding favors by sourcing custom Coca-Cola bottles with our names on them, which saved us a ton of time and effort. She also knew exactly how to get all our guests using the POV app on the day-of with a simple QR code sign. She also helped me source other decor I needed for the wedding, semi last minute. On the wedding day itself, Marissa ran everything flawlessly - no one came to me with questions and I didn't have to lift a finger, even for clean-up. Chelsea was prompt and excited to help, despite my wedding being quite the undertaking. I did my own (faux) flowers, which meant on top of regular day-of duties, she was putting up full floral arrangements, lighting hundreds of candles, and putting together tons of other small details and finishing touches. “Rojin was our “Wedding Day Coordinator” on April 2022. We absolutely can’t imagine our wedding day without her! She managed a major issue which had the potential to turn into a crisis. For some reason, our sound system was acting up, and our DJ couldn’t figure out the problem. She reacted to the incident very calmly and managed to find the standby technician quickly while we were just looking at each other trying to understand what had happened. And our guests responded to this very positively and it was like they were really enjoying themselves by singing and dancing while the issue was getting fixed. Without her, this two-minute incident could’ve ruin our night, but instead, now we have a beautiful memory of an issue that was outside of our control. Throughout that night, she was always there for us, by her attention to details. She was noticing small imperfections in Bride’s wedding dress while the Bride was dancing. She was fixing all those imperfections that she noticed on the fly. We didn’t even notice everything that she did, not till six months later when we were watching our wedding movie. From the very beginning, her communication was proactive, responsive, persistent, and thorough. Our day-of coordinator, Veneisha, created a detailed timeline over a month in advance and seamlessly coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly. “Hiring Ohana and working with Sonya was easily the best decision we made while wedding planning. I was hesitant to hire an outside coordinator because we had a venue coordinator, but the venue coordinator does not do nearly the amount that Ohana does. Hiring Ohana is a NEED. I was first introduced to Danielle and we instantly connected. I felt she understood my vision and wanted to help create our dream wedding. We were lucky enough to be assigned to Sonya for the 90-day coordination package and she was the kindest, most patient, and organized planner. She responded quickly to emails and answered all of my questions, she took over communication with vendors and relieved much of the planning stress, she provided detailed checklists and kept me on track. She also created a detailed by the minute itinerary for the entire weekend for us, our vendors, and a shorthand version for our bridal party which was extremely helpful.
