Hi there, I’m Olivia, the face behind Afterglow Weddings and Events! With over five years of experience in the wedding industry, including catering and venue sales, I've been part of more than 100 love stories. My journey in the Chicago wedding industry has included time as a venue coordinator, catering sales manager and event coordinator. My favorite part about working in the industry is working with couples to help their wedding dreams come to life. At Afterglow Weddings and Events, I'm dedicated to bringing your dreams to life and ensuring every detail reflects your unique love story.

Having been in the Chicago wedding industry for over 4 years I have a wide range of experience working in catering, venues and private planning. I wanted to use my expertise to help all couples bring their dream wedding to life!

    It's hard to find the words to sufficiently capture how vital Olivia was to our wedding. While we had hired most of our vendors before deciding to hire Olivia as a day of coordinator about 3 months before our wedding, we had only the vaguest of a sketch about how our wedding day would work. Olivia immediately worked with us and developed a detailed draft of the schedule. She then proceeded to hold several planning meetings with us, and our vendors as well as an on-site visit at our venue with us about a month and a half before our wedding. We built in several custom parts of our wedding including some Hindu customs that required reworking and updating our timeline several times. Olivia handled all of this with incredible grace. During our rehearsal Olivia cleared things up for our wedding party and made sure that we were all on the same page. Despite many of our party members showing up late, she still got the important points through to everyone and made sure that there was no confusion the day of. For our wedding Olivia was on the scene working early to coordinate setup at two different venues, and was also running things over from our hotel, while maintaining contact with everyone. She made sure that we all were in place with plenty of time to spare and this enabled us to really maximize our time with the photographer and videographer. After the ceremony she made sure that folks found their way to the cocktail hour and reception. Since we had to spend most of the cocktail hour taking photos and changing we didn't really have time to enjoy our appetizers, but thankfully Olivia made sure to give us some time alone to sample them in a private room before our grand entrance. At the reception Olivia worked with our DJ to keep the event running on time, making sure the toast makers were in place and ready to go. She also managed putting out our thank you gift bags and setting aside our cards from guests. We had an amazing time dancing and eating, and were able to trust that Olivia was keeping things running as we enjoyed ourselves. I can't stress how important it was for us to hire Olivia as our coordinator. She was unflappable and made sure that we kept our focus on ourselves, and our friends and family. We managed our own rehearsal dinner and I can tell you from first-hand experience that the day of our wedding with Olivia in charge was so much less stressful and much more fun. I would highly recommend Olivia to anyone having a wedding in the Chicago area!

    Olivia was incredible to work with from start to finish for our wedding on 7/13. She provided an incredibly detailed checklist for wedding planning to ensure we didn’t forget anything prior to the big day. On our actual wedding day, she set up tons of decor and got it to look exactly how I wanted. She was really communicative with all vendors and made sure that we kept on schedule throughout the night. I really don’t think we could have pulled off such a fun and stress-free wedding without Olivia there to guide us. Thanks so much for everything! :)

    Afterglow was fantastic to work with for our 3/30 wedding. Olivia and team are extremely professional, punctual, and organized - exactly what I needed during a very stressful crunch time. Olivia took care of everything I needed help with in the weeks leading up to our wedding and on the wedding day. She executed everything perfectly to our vision and ensured the day was smooth and we stayed on schedule. She even had helpful recommendations for vendors that we ended up hiring for our day. She communicated with our venue on our behalf, helped answer my many questions, and accommodated last minute details and changes. I trusted her fully and am 1000% glad I hired her. Seriously snag her up if you can, she was a huge help and instrumental in making our day wonderful and easy! I can't recommend Afterglow enough! THANK YOU!
