Hi! My name is Kade Alpers (they/them.) I am a queer portrait photographer based in New York City. I started doing photography at a young age as a way to express myself. As I have come into my identity as a gender-queer lesbian, I have used it as a way to tell my story and the story of other queer people. While I work with a variety of clients, my focus in photography is creating a space where queer people feel safe, seen, and confident.

I specialize in photographing lgbtq+ couples and people. I do not bring gender-roles into the wedding space and make sure everyone feels confident in whatever that means to them! I mostly photograph elopements and small weddings in New York City

Kade has been taking photos of me and wife for years! They recently took our engagement photos and our wedding photos. As a lesbian couple, it was important for us to hire someone who is a part of the community. They always know how to pose us and are great with helping us feel comfortable in front of the camera.
