They came ready with every form (and extra copies) imaginable, dressed professionally and in line with our color pallet, and miced up for quick and discreet communication. Our wedding party and guests were raving about how kind they all were and how well they executed everything that day. As a couple, my spouse and I felt at ease and were able to let go and have a blast on our wedding day because we knew all the little details were in the BEST hands. We heard from guests that the shuttle had messed up big time and literally went to the wrong hotel. Mia and her team fixed the issue SO FAST and kept it SO QUIET that we had no idea anything was wrong and we were able to enjoy our evening blissfully unaware that our guests almost didn’t make it to the ceremony! Then, after the wedding Mia had already reached out to the shuttle company to begin dialogue about what happened and to request a refund without us even having to ask her! I cannot possibly recommend Mia and LAE enough and we will forever look back on our beautiful wedding day with fond stress free memories thanks to LAE!”

“Elizabeth Carberry and her team are truly second to none in the wedding planning space. Back in 2019, I had met with numerous planners in DC and the stars aligned on cost, vision, and personality with Elizabeth immediately. Even before we signed on the dotted line, Elizabeth was hard at work taking the things we mentioned in our first call and setting up appointments with vendors. As it turned out, this would be an excellent indication of how thoughtful, efficient, and hardworking she and her team would be in working with us to plan our dream wedding(s) over the next few years. When the pandemic hit, we had already booked our date and many vendors but it was clear we probably weren’t going to move forward with our original date or vision, Elizabeth was so on top of rescheduling things and renegotiating on our contracts, we felt totally supported the entire time. She really went above and beyond. We started planning another version of our wedding on a rescheduled date and once again, another wave of the pandemic hit and we were out of luck again. While I’m sure Elizabeth and her team were as exhausted and frustrated as we were, they kept everything professional while also being incredibly empathetic to the situation. We canceled our second attempt at a wedding and went back to the drawing board. Third times the charm, it seems! My husband and I decided to scrap our plans for a big 200 person wedding bash in DC and have an intimate ceremony of 45 people at my parents cabin in PA. We proposed this idea to Elizabeth, knowing it was a huge pivot and trek for her, but without really any hesitation we shifted gears and started planning our new dream wedding in the mountains of PA. Within a matter of days, our contracts had been once again renegotiated with vendors who wanted to make the trip to another state and new vendors were found (a seemingly impossible task in rural PA). The day went off without a hitch and my husband and I look back on the whole process and wedding day so fondly, even with the nightmare of the pandemic. The day of, Elizabeth and her team were so incredible and efficient but stayed behind the scenes, making sure I knew they were there but not overwhelming us. The ceremony and reception were so beautiful and fun- she made our vision a reality. We woke up the next morning and everything was disassembled/organized and ready for the vendors to pick up. Of note, Elizabeth is also incredibly professional and will advocate for you with difficult vendors and make sure you’re not getting taken advantage of- you can tell she’s seasoned pro! Elizabeth and her team are the reason why, even after two foiled attempts, we have nothing but amazing memories from the wedding planning and actual day of! For this wedding, we had to transform an inspiration photo into a glam-style red wedding design, and Ashanti absolutely delivered. The bride wanted florals showcased inside acrylic tiers for the cake—a unique and challenging concept. These acrylic tiers had to be sourced from London, measured precisely, customized with Ashanti’s florals, and transported from Virginia to Florida and survive 3-4 days. Not only did the floral design make the journey, but it also held up beautifully throughout the wedding. The result? Stunning florals that tied the cake seamlessly into the overall wedding design. The bride was overjoyed, the guests were amazed, and I was blown away. Together, we created a once-in-a-lifetime piece for a deserving couple and seeing the bride’s ecstatic reaction made all the effort worth it. “This is a way too late review for a spectacular wedding planner and event designer who brought to life the wedding of my dreams in June 2022! Lauren and her team truly provide a 5-star experience in every way and more. Before I met Lauren, I had a vision for my wedding, but really wasn't sure how to bring it to fruition. I was walking through the "steps" recommended in different timeline sheets, which in itself is very tiring, and starting very big picture. But as anyone who has planned a wedding knows, the details start to become very, very overwhelming - especially when there's a specific look and feel you want for your wedding. Where do you invest your time and money? That's where Lauren was a lifesaver. Some key moments in our work together included: aligning us via several conversations and an inspiration deck (really important for making sure you're on the same page), meeting me at a rental facility to walk through design elements together, coordinating with family members to make sure she got a comprehensive picture of what really mattered to me (bless my partner, he couldn't care less), and "secretly" working with family members to make the vision "bigger and better" and surprise me. Lauren also has an IMPECCABLE eye for how to bring all the million details together. She hand-selected and/or advised on every detail, from utensil colors to linens to stamp types to wax seals - all the tiny details that create a full "experience" for you and your guests, but by the end, you don't have energy to pick yourself! Moreover, Lauren is incredibly professional, warm, direct, patient, and supportive - all traits you need in a planner and designer. She will also tell you what she thinks, which is essential, particularly in the home stretch! By the end, Lauren was responsible for creating the wedding of my dreams. I can truly say it was the most magical weekend of my life, and while all weddings are so special when you have the people you love, it doesn't quite feel *spectacular* without all those details coming together. “Words cannot define the worth and joy it was to have Kawania and her team be a part of my wedding day. She was a constant advocate for our needs and budget throughout the process, being realistic at every turn. What I know now is that what you get with Kawania is experience and know-how of the industry. She has planned several weddings and events before and knows how to troubleshoot mishaps that may happen on the wedding day in real time. She understands that the day of the event is a special moment for everyone involved and she knows not to bring stress to the wedding party and to allow them to live in the moment. At subsequent weddings, I have felt that my friends needed this approach with their planners on their wedding day/weekend. I, being their guest or in their bridal party felt the disorganization that their planners or self-planning brought. This was not the case with Kawania. We had glowing comments about our wedding day for even a year after and how it was not just a ceremony but a day of entertainment. She is an excellent communicator. We had regular meetings throughout the year, about once a week. I have seen my friends have wedding planners who do not get back to them for several days after they have a question about their wedding. Kawania brought my vendors to me instead of me having to look for vendors on my own and when one did not work she always had another one that could take the place. She set up meetings with me and my vendors one-on-one and reviewed all of our vendor contracts to make sure that we were getting a fair contract and that expectations for the vendor and for us were both reasonable and what we were looking for. Being a very busy working professional I appreciated that Kawania went above and beyond to make sure that I stayed on the schedule and was extremely patient when there were moments when I could not. I value how she brought my vision to life and had such great attention to small details that my day was exceptional. I have seen my guests feature elements of my wedding at their subsequent events and it speaks to how she was able to set the bar high for what a classy and unique event should be. Far beyond a wedding planner, she has become someone that I keep in contact with after the wedding. She even checked in on me when there was a major catastrophic event that took place in the area where I lived months after the wedding. There were even moments when I became uncertain or stressed and focused on the wrong thing when it came to my wedding. Kawania, quite like a mother figure helped me realize what my focus should be and to ignore all other distractions so that when I walked down the aisle, I was in full confidence of how the day was going to be and did not feel a single ounce of stress on my wedding day. I could not be more thrilled to work with Kawania again. Although I do not see myself getting remarried I would certainly work with her for any big event I needed in the future.
