The Metropolitan Players
The Metropolitan Players are a NYC-based wedding band collective, created by a husband and wife team, with a mission to help you make musical memories. Music is tied to memory, and shouldn’t be taken lightly when planning your wedding. Your guests will remember those moments on the dance floor with their loved ones, where the rest of the world melted away for a few hours. THAT’S why we do what we do. We want your guests to leave saying, “that was the best wedding we’ve ever been to.”
Drew & Erin Coles created The Metropolitan Players for their own wedding after they couldn’t find the perfect band. Not only did they create the The Met Players out of everything they wanted for themselves (so it’s pretty darn awesome), they truly care about making each and every wedding just as beautiful, successful, and fun as their own. We specialize in weddings (because that’s how we started!), we have an impressive roster of talented musicians, we learn requests, we walk you through the musical process, and we’re unbelievably dedicated to making sure your wedding is unforgettable.

The Met Players are absolutely incredible!!!
We hired The Metropolitan Players for our wedding in October. I cannot say this enough, they were incredible!! Every aspect about The Met Players was impeccable. They were so communicative throughout the planning process and they put us right at ease. They are willing to learn any song, which allows you to ensure you are setting the vibe you want for your wedding. They were able to get the party started right from the beginning. They had everyone up and dancing in between dinner courses which really helped to set the tone for the rest of the night. We have been to many weddings, I don’t think I have ever seen a dance floor that full for so long. They knew what songs to play to make sure everyone was having a great time all night. If you are looking to have an absolutely packed dance floor at your wedding, look no further than The Met Players! They are one of the best wedding bands I’ve seen, and all of our guests would agree! We would hire them again in a heartbeat. They truly made an already special day even more fun!
Highlight of the night!
My husband was in charge of securing a band for our wedding. I pretended to be very laid back about it, but deep down, I was STRESSED. After all, the music can really make or break a party. After phone calls with multiple companies, he decided to go with the Metropolitan Players…and I am so glad I trusted him with this! The whole team was very responsive and patiently walked us through everything leading up to our wedding day. They had a huge repertoire of music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long, and the personal songs they learned for us sounded AMAZING. We had an 8 piece band and were a little nervous about it being too loud, but our day-of coordinator (shout out to Drew) made sure the volume level was perfect for our sensitive ears! We received so many compliments, both during and after our wedding, about how great the band was. Everything was seamlessly organized on our day without us having to lift a finger - we felt like true guests of honor at our wedding. We can’t recommend the Met Players enough!
Best Wedding Band Ever!
The Met Players created an UNBELIEVABLE atmosphere for our environment. If we could leave 10 stars, we would. From the start of the relationship to the end of our wedding, they were professional, available, flexible, and all-around amazing. They worked with us to carefully create a playlist and energy we wanted: They learned new songs and performed them perfectly. They played all the songs we requested. And they totally nailed the vibe that we were going for. Every time someone has talked about our wedding, they have mentioned the Met Players. They are the best wedding band out there.
Incredible!
The Met Players are incredible! We loved them when they played at our son's wedding, so we knew we had to have them for our daughter's wedding in Southampton. They are so talented, energetic and enthusiastic! They made the reception perfect!
