I have been planning events for the last 20 years, on the side. I have always loved hosting people, and I've done a few bridal and baby showers. At my previous job, I helped plan several employee luncheons and holiday parties, with about 100-150 employees attending. I even led the planning a few times. Olivia is worth her weight in gold! My partner and I got married at the end of June and had a wonderful wedding thanks to Olivia and her care, enthusiasm, patience, and attention to detail. Wedding planning is not for the faint of heart and early on in the wedding planning process my partner and I realized we were way in over our heads and needed help. I stumbled across Olivia’s day of coordination services, Round Pearl Events. She was happy to answer our questions before we even officially booked with her. Throughout the next ten months, we met with Olivia for our formal meetings, but she was also so responsive via email and text to any questions we had. She was very patient and compassionate in helping us navigate some tricky family situations and provided insights into making our vision of the day really come true.Olivia helped us coordinate challenges that we weren’t expecting, like how to plan childcare for all of the nieces and nephews we were excited to have on our special day. Before we met Olivia, I would spend hours researching vendors and had no idea how to vet them or choose one and was incredibly overwhelmed. Olivia took out the guesswork and extensive research piece of the process and helped us find vendors in our price range that still provided a great service! Her help was invaluable, allowing us to spend the last month leading up to the wedding focusing on the fun experiences with family and each other. And when the day of the wedding finally did arrive, it was so beautifully organized and coordinated that we had to do nothing but enjoy our day with our family and friends. Olivia has so many tricks up her sleeve of how to make a wedding go smoothly and just in general is a compassionate, fun, and wonderful human being to work with! I had so many people come up to me during and after the wedding to say it was one of the smoothest wedding days they had ever experienced and we owe that all to Olivia. She truly helped us have the most beautiful and stress free day! My only regret is I don’t have any friends getting married any time soon that I can refer Olivia to!

Ashley of Blue Lark Events is a life saver. She helped me with venue research and day of services for a very reasonable fee. What I appreciated the most about Ashley is that she helped me stay organized. What I loved about Ashley was that she made some great suggestions and answered questions about what is common and she explained wedding trends. She saved me time, effort and money, as I otherwise would have made some decisions that were more expensive than were needed for the circumstances. One of the highlights of the wedding - that was loved by my guests and me - was Ashley's suggestion to do a photo bomb. Screw the photo both. You are the prop for people's photos. Stick the couple in the middle of the dance floor, play an upbeat song, and explain to everyone that they need to run behind the couple for a quick photo, taking turns. Rapid fire and in real time, those photos were hilarious. Folks grouped up for shots and couples jumped in our laps. Ashley also helped me source a really good photographer. What struck me the most was that I knew she was really great at her job after our various meetings over the course of many months, but my spouse didn't really interact with her much prior to the wedding. At the wedding he was like, "oh my God, Ashley has a sixth sense for whenever something is about to go wrong!" I was so smug - with a I told you so look in response. Be it a broken glass cigar ash tray that met the cement and is now attempting to ruin your shoes, an overturned umbrella making a run for it or that sound system that just is not acting as expected - she was there problem solving. After we got behind during the dinner speeches (which of course, she warned me about but I didn't police the speech writing), I lost all sense of control and LOVED IT. She was like you are dancing now, you are cutting cake now, you are photo bombing now - in much more rapid succession than had been planned. It was such a relief to just have someone handle us, as if we were celebrities getting ushered from one high profile moment to the next! Her quick action helped us make up time so that our guests weren't waiting around and so our vendors could be released on time. So why haven't you emailed Blue Lark Events yet? Do it now. PS - I included a picture that my photographer snapped right before the ceremony started. You can tell future hubbie needed to just be near someone and was regretting his decision to not have a groomsman wait with him. But it was fine, because Ashley's sixth sense was there. Always ready to calmly say what is about to happen and what will follow next. When I asked hubbie what Ashley said to him in this moment, he said, "I have no idea, but I guarantee you she was not freaking out like I was."

Kaila is really great! We hired her as our day-of coordinator for our recent micro wedding and it was absolutely one of the best decisions we made. She was able to advise us on the event timeline, toast procedure, etc. in the months leading up to the big day, which was incredibly helpful since we'd never done this before. She also attended our rehearsal and helped make sure everything ran smoothly and everyone knew the plan. She was great at collaborating with our officiant during this process as well. But it was the day of the event when she really shined. As the bride, I didn't want to have to think about any logistics at the venue while I was getting ready and with Kaila, I didn't have to! She sent me one quick question via text that morning that I was glad to weigh in and otherwise, she totally took care of the rest. The venue looked amazing, everything ran like clockwork, and she made sure to keep us in the loop when (and only when) it was necessary. She even brought us some appetizers to snack on while we were waiting on a vendor to arrive to bustle my dress so that we didn't miss out on our own food! If you're looking for a great partner to provide just that little extra coordination the day of your event, I highly recommend Kaila!
