I cannot say enough great things about working with Jaime! She truly made the stressful experience so easy. Justine called me multiple times leading up to the wedding to make sure she fully understood my vision, and when I walked into the reception on the big day, it was even better than I could have dreamed! She also came back later that night to expertly tear down the decor and get it ready to load into the cars. I felt completely at ease the entire day, and all of my guests were amazed at how beautifully the venue was decorated. Emily was amazing! We worked with her for planning, starting from about 15 months before the wedding date, as well as day-of coordinating, and she was an incredible help time after time. Whenever we were stuck trying to figure out vendors or even basic things like the color scheme, Emily was able to help us make progress and stayed really kind and patient throughout, even with what were probably fairly dumb questions at least some of the time. (After all, I don't think either of us ever planned a party for more than a dozen people at a time, so it was invaluable to have help from someone so experienced as Emily!) Emily was great at keeping track of timelines and helped focus us on which decisions needed to be made sooner and what we could leave for later. When we decided to add a tea ceremony as part of the wedding, Emily didn't bat an eye and was so helpful with getting those extra details sorted. There can be so many times while planning a wedding where it’s hard to know how to even approach an important decision, including just communicating w/ guests & family and her expertise, advice, and care kept us from getting stuck more times than we can count! Even though you would expect an event planner to be very rigid in saying how things should go, Emily is not robotic at all and we loved how spontaneous and open to brainstorming different options she always was! The night before and morning of the wedding, we were a bit stressed, but once we were at our venue and Emily was back involved, things went incredibly smoothly and we had a day filled with joy and love. One of Emily's assistants, Alaina, was also there to help w/ day-of details and she was also so nice, calm and capable! Emily even stepped in as an emergency emcee for us when our previous plans fell through 2 weeks before the wedding & our guests loved her humor & warmth during the reception too!

Planning a wedding is stressful, if you’re looking at this review…chances are you know what I’m talking about! I went with Bisoux Event Co for day of coordinator services. Lisa came to my final walk through - and she was on top of everything in the best way. Asking all the right questions, things I hadn’t even thought of, took notes - she was so organized. I could finally take a breath, my day of coordinator was there to the rescue. Afterwards, we grabbed a beer and talked even more about the wedding plans. She was available to answer questions anytime via text, email and helped me with all the final details and staying organized for the day of the wedding. She came to our hotel the weekend of the wedding for a ceremony run through and we all felt totally prepared afterwards. She was also so sweet with our flower girls/ring bearer, and gave them the encouragement they needed to be part of the ceremony! On the day of my wedding she gave me such a sense of calm during a crazy day. All day long, she worked tirelessly for every detail. Made sure all the vendors were on time/reached out to them if they weren’t, and handled any day of catastrophes (there’s always gonna be something that comes up!) . Everyone had a blast at the wedding and Lisa of Bisoux Event Co was a huge part of that. She made my wedding vision come to life!!! Mine and my husbands family also took notice of her hard work and organization. My only regret is not working with her sooner. I know she would have been a great help earlier in the planning process! Cannot recommend her enough - honestly! She’s also a great person overall so really glad I got the experience to know her and work with her.

The night before our wedding, we learned that the venue had removed one of our tables and we had to redo our seating chart - April sprang into gear, helping us to get a new print-out of seating arrangements as well as verifying their accuracy the morning of the big day. She ensured all of our vendors were on time, kept me from having to deal with day-of difficulties (last-minute cancellations, timing issues, overzealous family members, etc.), and helped us clean up at the end of the night. America is such an amazing person to work with. Wanted to have a wedding of about 150 people in the Chicago Metropolitan area and a budget of 22,000 USD (just wanna say that keeping to the budget was my main goal). This can be typically difficult given the cost of venues and things in the Chicago area. America helped find a glamorous ball-style venue (my preference) that also had an outside lake as a great view for the ceremony. The venue also catered to most of the other needs at a reasonable price. Furthermore, we met regularly with America to go over what our expectations of each vendor would be, and with a great understanding of what we wanted, she was resourceful in getting the appropriate vendors and negotiating a good price with them. She made sure that within the short period of planning (we contacted her about 4 months before the wedding), every step of the plan towards the wedding day was carried out in a timely manner with nothing left unattended to... I mean nothing. On the day of the wedding, she drew up a great timeline and went above and beyond to ensure all went according to plan timely and we were not stressed out. It was such a good and memorable event that we received numerous compliments on it. With her being very affordable for the service she gives and she being intentionally involved in everything, we definitely kept to budget and had better than the wedding we had hoped for. She was on top of her game from start to finish . She isn't only an event planner to us but is also a friend. I thank God for you america and for all you did. These few words cannot fully explain how excellent you are in what you do.

Months, and sometimes years, of hard work are put into building a celebration – hopefully with lots of champagne toasts and happy tears along the way!

Hiring Ohana and working with Sonya was easily the best decision we made while wedding planning. I was hesitant to hire an outside coordinator because we had a venue coordinator, but the venue coordinator does not do nearly the amount that Ohana does. Hiring Ohana is a NEED. I was first introduced to Danielle and we instantly connected. I felt she understood my vision and wanted to help create our dream wedding. We were lucky enough to be assigned to Sonya for the 90-day coordination package and she was the kindest, most patient, and organized planner. She responded quickly to emails and answered all of my questions, she took over communication with vendors and relieved much of the planning stress, she provided detailed checklists and kept me on track. She also created a detailed by the minute itinerary for the entire weekend for us, our vendors, and a shorthand version for our bridal party which was extremely helpful. Our wedding day was seamless with no hiccups and I can honestly thank Sonya for that. She made sure to keep the day moving on schedule, communicated with all of the vendors, and made sure to check in with me often. Even wedding guests and our parents gave raving reviews for Sonya. My husband and I agree that hiring Ohana and being able to work with Sonya was the best investment we would do all over again, and we recommend them to everyone. I wish I had hired Sonya sooner! Best wedding coordinator of all time. It is true, Ohana means family, and that is exactly how the team treats you.

I felt my head spinning the weeks leading up to the wedding. Luckily Jessica remained so calm and collected the entire time. She was reassuring, and followed up multiple times just to check in. She had a natural touch for decor that made my wedding visions come true. She was vocal when necessary (I can sometimes be looked over when trying to give instructions - but Jessica did the work for me). I was on the fence about hiring a day of coordinator because of our tight budget but I was advised more often than not that a DOC is NECESSARY. I'm so glad we went ahead with one because I felt like I relaxed the whole day thanks to Jessica. She was a boss, incredibly professional, and yet still so friendly.

For everyone who thinks they don’t need a wedding planner. You do. You do and you specifically need Stephanie. If everyone had a Stephanie, there would be no wedding disasters, no war, and no famine. Stephanie is the best. She helped us look through contracts with vendors, talked us through conversations with catering (which is how we met her), and ran our wedding day seamlessly. Stephanie really knows this business. She helped us manage our budget, she set expectations and timelines, and was super responsive with emails and questions. She also was respectful and inclusive to us with all our identities, as a gay couple and a Jewish/Italian couple. The wedding industry often assumes a lot of things but Stephanie is so kind and goes out of her way to make sure she never does. Beyond that, I think it’s important to highlight what a wedding planner does the day of. She makes sure all the tables are set up so you don’t have to. She makes sure your vendors arrive on time. She made sure our photos and our flowers were set up. I cannot emphasize enough how much you will not want to be doing your own table arrangements when you’re trying to pull off the biggest party you’ve ever thrown. She also came a few days early and picked up ALL of the items for the wedding in her mini-van. Then she packed them up at the end of the night and delivered them a few days after the wedding?? That ALONE is the best. I assumed my wife, our families, and I would be packing things up that night but she gave us a magical day where we didn’t have to worry about anything. She’s also incredibly smart and thorough and NEVER complains. We had books as our centerpieces and realized later that the idea of books was going to be HEAVY. She never told us we were nuts but she actually said she liked it because we did things that were true to us. She has more energy than anyone I’ve ever met and her and her day-of assistant, Caitlin, were the best. Seriously, Stephanie is, as my wife says, a magical human being. Don’t plan a wedding without her.
