Digital & Film Wedding Photographer

A photographer with 10 years of experience specializing in love stories, portraiture, and immortalizing a moment filled to the brim with feeling. I’m French, which means I have aways been attracted to beauty, art, and romance & love to have a good time; my photography embodies this. When I am not behind the camera I enjoy eating good food and drinking wine (again, I’m French), going on roadtrips with my wonderful boyfriend, Max, and cuddling up with a good book - my favorite is The Pillars of the Earth - and my cutie pie cat, Jack.

I call my work "editorial with a candid eye" ! I use both digital and analog photography - digital serves my detail oriented desires, and the depth and texture of film serves the romantic and ineffable qualities that weddings demand.     Coco J. Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Coco was a fast responder and very personable throughout the entire process. She was easy to work with, creative and adaptable, capturing a wonderful mix of documentary and posed photos. Coco thought of fun, cool ideas for photos as we walked between the ceremony and our dinner venue, and the final photos turned out wonderfully. Coco is so personable and easy to work with, and I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented wedding photographer.

    Coco posed as a photographer who was taking photos in the gallery my art is in. When I showed up to the gallery she was taking photos of the gallery owner. In another life she must be an actor because I had no idea she was there for my engagement which made the surprise even better. Once the secret was out we walked from the gallery to the hotel and got photos on the street. She was open to any and all suggestions and easily let us pivot from outdoor photos to inside because of how cold we were. Also, the photos were amazing. She took photos during our surprise brunch as well and did a great job at capturing the candid moments and staying hidden so that we didn’t feel like our brunch was a photoshoot. She’s also just incredibly kind and was a great addition to the day. Plus, our photo turn around time was extremely fast. 10/10. Thank you Coco!

    I met Coco when she took my headshots in her NYC studio. She is absolutely magnetic and incredibly fun to be around. I don't think anyone could keep their guard up around Coco - she makes you feel immediately comfortable and confident. This not only makes the experience stress-free, but also makes for absolutely beautiful, authentic photos that capture you at your best. I had recently gotten engaged, so when she mentioned her new focus on engagement/wedding photos I knew I needed to hire her! Our engagement shoot around our NYC neighborhood was a joy to do (even on a cold and rainy November day, and with my slightly camera-shy now-husband). Coco provides so much communication and support throughout the process, so you're never left wondering "what do I do with my hands?" "do I look crazy with this smile?" Those photos came out FANTASTIC. So cool, creative, unique, and exactly matching my vision. It also made my husband feel much more confident going into the wedding day. He felt safe with Coco! On the actual wedding day, I was genuinely glad to have Coco and her 2nd shooter Bailey around. They both had chill but fun energy and didn't add an ounce of stress - it really felt just like just 2 more fabulous friends around. My day was a bit complicated with my husband and I having separate getting ready locations and no first look. Coco confidently took the lead to make sure everything was executed flawlessly, even with unexpected hold-ups and changes to plan. I absolutely love the final product of the wedding photos. Nothing feels stuffy and posed, and they all capture what the evening really felt like. She even put together a video reel of key moments that really transports the viewer to the day. Pure vibes, love, and warmth. ZERO cheesiness! I would recommend Coco to any couple looking for something modern, romantic, warm, vibey, and unique. I'm sure she would also slay traditional posed wedding photos, but her talent truly shines in her authentic style.

    *(Please excuse me while I pick up my jaw off the floor!) I am still in total awe of these photos. They are literally perfection. I posted our engagement photos about a week ago on social media and I still am getting non-stop comments from friends and friends of friends about how great they are, and honestly, I couldn't agree more. I had a vision of what I wanted my engagement photos to look like and Coco made that dream come true, but even better than what I could have imagined. Coco is such an incredibly talented photographer, but one of the things that make her so great is her direction, communication, and just how much fun you have with her! And all of that is CRUCIAL to getting good photos. The turnaround time for the photos was quicker than most photographers I've worked with, which I appreciated so much because I couldn't wait to see them!
