Hey there, I'm Emma! I am an outgoing and free-spirited photographer living in Manhattan (but born & raised in the Midwest! My heart longs for creating art and telling remarkable stories. I love a good trip to the farmers market, a wine night with my friends, and spending time with my loved ones. Emma Melin Studios is queer-owned and is an inclusive wedding vendor!
Life is about enjoying the little things. Like dancing in the kitchen with your partner or breakfast in bed on a Sunday. My job is as your photographer to show you how these seemingly minuscule moments are something truly beautiful. Emma Melin Studios exists to preserve your most precious and beautiful moments, no matter how big or small.

This package is best suited for couples looking for their whole day to be covered. With this package you can expect to have your getting ready captured up to as well as those sloppy drunk dancing photos. Couples who are having traditional elements or larger weddings often choose this package.

This is a good option for couples who are having a more non-traditional day.

Unbelievable
Emma’s work is artistic, special, and outstanding. We LOVED working with her twice, for both an elopement and family celebration wedding day! She is extremely organized, detailed, prompt, and such a positive presence on your special day. She makes anyone and everyone comfortable in front of the camera and captures the day authentically (but with the most attention to detail you could hope for). She is wonderful and we are so lucky to have found her and been able to work with her! I would recommend her to ANYONE who wants unbelievable wedding photos that capture the magic, milestones, and tiny moments of the day.

Emma was awesome to work with. Communicating with her from the beginning of the process was super clear, prompt, and professional. She was easy to talk to and has a casual style that I appreciate, while still guiding us through the process and making sure we were on track with scheduling, deciding on details for the day, etc. Of all of our vendors, she was by far the most organized. The quality of her work is simply gorgeous and she managed to make us look much cooler than we really are! She captured all the candid moments we had hoped for, and we were amazed at how quickly she got through our posed photos so we could just enjoy the rest of our wedding day. My dad even commented, "Wow, I don't know when you guys had time to get all of these!" after seeing the gallery. We also had a laundry list of family/wedding party pairings and we got through them all promptly after the ceremony, without a ton of fuss, which is exactly as we'd requested. She pulled us aside after dinner when the sun was at the perfect height to get a few more photos, and they're some of my favorites despite only taking us away from the party for about 5 minutes. The preview gallery came SO fast (I believe it was within a day or two) and the pics were just amazing. She was so accommodating of anything we wanted to do, and also had suggestions whenever we weren't sure what we wanted. I also requested to get a couple photos before our final gallery was done so that my mom could use them for Christmas cards and she was so accommodating of that request and sent them right away. We had a great experience and are so happy with our final gallery. Thanks, Emma!!
Emma is FREAKING amazing. 1000/10
From the moment Ronnie and I met Emma on a video call, I knew she was the one I wanted to capture our wedding day with her incredible documentary-style photography. Emma blew us away right from the start with our engagement shoot last year in SoHo, and she absolutely exceeded all expectations on the wedding day! I didn’t even think that was possible, but she made it happen. We had a flawless day, and she played a huge role in making it all come together perfectly. Emma is not just an amazing photographer; she’s a creative genius behind the camera. Her ability to give clear direction while seeing things from a unique perspective is mind-blowing. She made Ronnie and I feel like models in front of the lens! Our sneak peeks arrived less than 24 hours after the wedding, and I am completely BLOWN AWAY. Honestly, I’m still in shock. Her work belongs on the cover of Vogue. Emma’s attention to detail was so appreciated throughout the process. She had a list of every family member shot we wanted, plus a few of the “inspo” ideas I had in mind. She didn’t miss a beat. Despite the long day, she kept the atmosphere fun while making sure we got every shot on the list—and still stuck to the timeline she helped us create! Emma is so much more than just a photographer. Over the past year, she became a friend, a wedding advice guru, and my go-to person for all things wedding aesthetic. On the day of the wedding, Emma and Jenny (our amazing second photographer) were the dream team. They collaborated seamlessly with our video team, bouncing ideas back and forth right on the spot. It was incredible to watch so many talented creatives come together to capture our day. And let’s talk about the kids—Emma definitely has a special touch with children! She was a total hit with our two flower girls (ages 1 and 4), knowing exactly how to talk to them in a way that made them feel special and get those perfect smiles for the camera. I truly cannot imagine my wedding day without Emma. From both a creative standpoint and in terms of planning, she was key to how smooth everything went. We are so thankful for her! I can’t wait to work with Emma again in the future. 10000/10 experience. She is truly exceptional!

If you are looking for a photographer book Emma Melin Studios!!! We had received endless recommendations for our Novemeber 2024 wedding and Emma Melin Studios was on every recommendation, because she’s that good! We met Emma over zoom in Jan 2024, she was polite, kind, and genuinely wanted to hear about on LGBTQ love story and our vision for our wedding day. Emma shot our engagement shoot in Asbury Park NJ (a place that is so special to us) we have such a blast grabbing drinks, pizza, and even ice cream throughout our shoot, which led to phenomenal engagement photos that truly fit our relationship and personalities to a T. During the shoot Emma communicated with us effectively, letting us be ourselves. Fast forward to the best day of our lives. 11.02.24– Emma shot our wedding day in Philadelphia, PA. She communicated with us over zoom the week prior to create a timeline and to discuss a list of things we definitely wanted her to capture. I remember sitting in the chair getting my hair done when she came to the bridal suite all my nerves went away. Emma radiates passion for her craft while truly appreciating every relationship she encounters. Emma made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day, hyped us up, and took the dopest pictures of everything we wanted and more. We not only gained endless memories to relive through these photos but we always gained a friend for life. Whatever you do- book Emma Melin Studios!
