“Beautiful venue and stunning for the price compared to a lot of locations. Really easy to work with but we found ourselves repeating details A LOT and yet some of them got lost anyways - for example, I had made a full allergy list for the reception organized by table, and yet staff brought me (the bride) food I am dangerously allergic to. It was fixed quickly but annoying because I’d spent so much time preparing this and details got lost anyways. This happened in multiple ways. Several things—ceremony set up, rehearsal timeline, etc—were easily fixed, but shouldn’t have needed to be fixed in the first place, given the amount of prep we did.”

“Suzette was AMAZING!! I am so so glad that I found her through Zola. The first time that we spoke on the phone we automatically clicked. I think we talked for like an hour almost. I explained my vision to Suzette and she delivered exactly what I was looking for! She delivered on my vision for my memory table, too. My wedding day was on dia de los muertos so we had an altar set up and Suzette helped to decorate it with marigolds and it was just so perfect. There were mistakes that I made on my end regarding table numbers and such and Suzette totally saved the day and made all of the table centers work perfectly. I would totally recommend Suzette to any bride! One last thing, I was a bride on a budget and didn't have a wedding coordinator or day-of planner but Suzette gave me some of the best advice and that was if you have good vendors you don't need a coordinator or planner. This is SO TRUE. My day went off without a hitch because of the amazing vendors that I used, which includes Suzette.”

Blair founded BW Studio after hosting a number of non-profit events and finding herself completely immersed in the process. Once she realized her knack for event organization and planning, the studio was quickly born.

“Working with Blair was probably the best decision we made during the process of planning our wedding. My husband and I both work 9-5 corporate jobs, and we knew that we needed to bring someone onto our “wedding team” that would help keep us on track with all of the milestones during the wedding planning process. From the get-go, over our 15-month planning period, Blair was always transparent about timing and was a master of following up regarding timelines, without ever badgering us or coming across as controlling. She spent over an hour discussing budgets with us and our families early on, to make sure that everything we planned stayed in the budget range that we’d all agreed upon. This was especially helpful during our venue and vendor selection process. She helped us find that blew our socks off, and also found us the most wonderful florist (@thelocalpetaler) who was able to provide us way more bang for our buck than any florist we’d be able to find on our own - a huge advantage. While we had our venue already picked out, Blair was able to recommend a food and beverage package with an available catering company that fell delivered us fantastic food and a premium beverage package that fit our budget.   Leading up to the wedding, Blair was also a master in helping us coordinate our wedding day planning including family photos, transportation e.g. coordinating our bus between multiple hotels and the venue while making it easy for us to just focus on ourselves. The peace of mind that Blair brought us throughout the planning process, week of, and day of our wedding made having our wedding a cakewalk rather than a headache. Spending the money to hire Blair was the best decision we could’ve made for our wedding!”

“I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Windy City Glam. From the planning stages to the wedding day itself, everything felt thoughtful, organized, and deeply personal. Celeste and Alex were not only incredibly talented but also genuinely lovely to be around. And having Catherine who owns Windy City Glam and is also a close friend and one of my bridesmaids, made it feel all the more special. We got ready at the Hyatt House in West Loop, which isn’t the most spacious or salon-like spot for hair and makeup. But Celeste and Alex showed up early, fully prepared, and made the space work so seamlessly you’d think they set up there all the time. The room felt calm and happy, exactly what you want on a wedding morning. Celeste did makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and my mom. We had done a trial beforehand, and I gave quite a bit of feedback on what I liked and what didn’t feel quite like me. She took every note seriously, and on the wedding day, it all came together perfectly. The look felt just right, elevated, soft, with sparkly eyeshadow and still very much me. I felt beautiful without feeling overdone. The makeup lasted through every emotion, every hug, every photo, and hours of dancing. She also gave so much care to the rest of the bridal party. Everyone looked incredible and felt comfortable and confident, which set the tone for the whole day. Alex styled everyone’s hair, and she was just as amazing. At our trial, I had tighter waves than imagined, and I mentioned wanting something a little softer. On the day of, she adjusted the style to make the waves looser and added pearl accents that made it feel more romantic, and I loved it. It held beautifully all day and night through wind and nonstop dancing. My bridesmaids and mom also looked gorgeous, with styles that fit each person’s hair type and vibe. Alex was calm, focused, and incredibly efficient, but she never made anyone feel rushed. She cared about how everyone felt walking out of that chair. Catherine was a huge help behind the scenes with planning the schedule. She organized the timeline for hair and makeup so well that we stayed on track the entire morning without feeling on a timer. That kind of planning and attention to detail made the day run much more smoothly and let me enjoy the getting-ready part instead of stressing about timing. What made Windy City Glam stand out is how personal and supportive the whole experience felt. Celeste and Alex are true professionals, but they’re also kind people who bring such good energy into the room. They made me feel like the best version of myself on one of the most meaningful days of my life. If you’re considering Windy City Glam, do it. You’ll feel cared for, listened to, and completely at ease. I couldn’t be more grateful for them.”

“We could not have been happier with our decision to get married at Walden! From the moment we booked our date, the planning process was made seamless and actually enjoyable thanks to the incredible built-in planning team, Kalila and Ally. Having coordinators included in the cost of the venue was such a valuable bonus, and they truly made all the difference. Kalila and Ally were there with us every step of the way, staying on top of every detail for our 18-month engagement/wedding planning journey. They reached out to vendors, followed up on our behalf when needed, and offered spot-on recommendations that perfectly suited our vision and budget. Their guidance and expertise helped us make the best choices, and their input kept us calm and organized. On top of their professionalism, they were so down-to-earth and fun to work with, bringing energy and laughter to every planning session and making the entire experience even more memorable. One of the highlights was the collaborative online planning tool we had access to as part of booking Walden. It kept everything organized in one place, allowing us to easily stay in touch with our planners, track tasks, and manage finances and contracts. It was loaded with helpful resources, making planning a breeze. Walden provided us with much more than a beautiful venue. They gave us an incredible planning experience and an amazing team that felt like family by the time the wedding arrived. The entire wedding party and all the family members who were there the entire day of the wedding had nothing but amazing things to say too...they were all shocked at how much support we had throughout the entire day to the point where we did not have to lift a finger. And don't even get us started on the food and bar...we've never been complimented more in our lives. We were shocked at how insanely good the food and drinks were at our tasting party months before the wedding, but we were curious if it would live up to the hype on our actual wedding day where we had 216 guests. It might've been even better on our wedding day! Guests were raving about our food and drinks. We were told by nearly every guest that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, bar none. We even had sober people come up to us and go on and on about how amazing even the mocktails were. The only thing we regret is being too excited and not having enough of an appetite to truly enjoy dinner as the bride and groom. But even so, our planning team made sure the servers packaged up our entrees so we could take them home a few days later when we came back to the venue to pick up our belongings. Honestly, there are a million other reasons why we'd recommend Walden for your wedding venue, but this is already getting to be too long of a review. Basically, if you’re looking for an all-inclusive venue where you’re genuinely taken care of every step of the way, we cannot recommend Walden highly enough! Thank you, Kalila and Ally, the entire bar/service staff, and truly just everyone at Walden for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more! P.S. - Make sure you get golden hour photos on the rooftop at Walden...we are soooo delighted with our photos from up there.”

An event coordinator is included in the package, who helps you plan your big day from beginning to end--Hulda was ours and we absolutely loved her! Since Chicago Winery is a restaurant, the food was outstanding and the staff well-versed. Their bar package is excellent, and they will work with you to bring in anything else you may need. This space is absolutely stunning from an interior design perspective, which allows for less decor and florals needed to achieve a dreamy look. If you're looking to have a downtown Chicago wedding, look no further than Chicago Winery!”

“Emily was amazing! We worked with her for planning, starting from about 15 months before the wedding date, as well as day-of coordinating, and she was an incredible help time after time. Whenever we were stuck trying to figure out vendors or even basic things like the color scheme, Emily was able to help us make progress and stayed really kind and patient throughout, even with what were probably fairly dumb questions at least some of the time. (After all, I don't think either of us ever planned a party for more than a dozen people at a time, so it was invaluable to have help from someone so experienced as Emily!) Emily was great at keeping track of timelines and helped focus us on which decisions needed to be made sooner and what we could leave for later. When we decided to add a tea ceremony as part of the wedding, Emily didn't bat an eye and was so helpful with getting those extra details sorted. There can be so many times while planning a wedding where it’s hard to know how to even approach an important decision, including just communicating w/ guests & family and her expertise, advice, and care kept us from getting stuck more times than we can count! Even though you would expect an event planner to be very rigid in saying how things should go, Emily is not robotic at all and we loved how spontaneous and open to brainstorming different options she always was! The night before and morning of the wedding, we were a bit stressed, but once we were at our venue and Emily was back involved, things went incredibly smoothly and we had a day filled with joy and love. One of Emily's assistants, Alaina, was also there to help w/ day-of details and she was also so nice, calm and capable! Emily even stepped in as an emergency emcee for us when our previous plans fell through 2 weeks before the wedding & our guests loved her humor & warmth during the reception too!”

“Simply Elegant Group was by far my favorite vendor! Every single person we talked to from Lindsay Mackey, their amazing manger and our first contact to the hotel-block assistant was a joy to work with, communicative and helpful. The workbook, spreadsheets, and connections with other coordinators and vendors made the whole wedding planning process more enjoyable and streamlined. We chose the Day of Coordination and are very grateful to have had Hanh as our wedding coordinator! Hanh is worth her weight in gold! With Day of Coordination we received not only ten hours of custom coordination from the wonderfully efficient and empathic Hanh, we also had the help of her assistant. This was perfect because someone was by my and my husband’s throughout the day. I loved that with SEG we had a whole team of magnifically organized, thorough and compassionate individuals to support us in executing our dream wedding. Once we had submitted our information Lindsay contacted us to go over all of the things included in wedding planning. She created a rough draft of our day of timeline and gave us access to our Wedding Workbook. They have templates for everything you will need for organizing your wedding and making sure you do not miss out on important, but often overlooked details. Two months before our wedding date we were connected with Hanh. From our first meeting throughout the whole time before the wedding and for the duration of our wedding itself Hanh was both our wedding angel and ninja rolled all into one. I had done a lot of the initial setting up vendors, but as soon as she could she took over as my contact person. This meant the vendors had to email/reach out to Hanh and left me feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. From this point on I started to enjoy wedding planning.I love that she reached out to not only myself, but included my now husband and daughter in on a meeting. If there were any hiccups leading up to the wedding I did not know until they were already handled. On our wedding day, everything went smoothly for my husband and I and our family.Again if there were any mishaps my husband and I were oblivious of them and we had the best wedding ever! Hanh was ready for anything, made sure we were treated like royalty and also took some amazing pictures! Thank you to Hanh and Simply Elegant Group for making our dream wedding come true! “I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”
