Jay & Nicole Vega decided to pursue a career together in the art of Photography. Met & married in Chicago in 2013, two people set out on a business venture of a lifetime. While Nicole is the main photographer of the company, we have also expanded and hired reliable, talented photographers to work along side with us, while still maintaining a small business feel.

We feel we are more affordable than most other photographers in the Chicagoland area and can provide high end quality service. Our photos have an artistic style all while helping you enjoy your wedding day and not taking TOO much time spent on photos.

Having photo memories at our wedding was a top priority for us. The Still Life Photography was recommended by our venue and Nicole gave us exactly what we were looking for and we even managed to stay within budget. Nicole's professionalism and experience shined through and she helped guide the process of what's needed up to the wedding day so the day could go as smoothly as possible. On the wedding day, she had a list of the wedding party ready and was able to organize everyone for photos and keep us on time. Oh my gosh I really don't know where to start. Nicole and Isabelle are just so amazing! I was extremely overwhelmed when researching photographers for our big day - after all, our pictures will be our memories from our most important day. We were also getting married in the fall at an outdoor vendor and I wanted to make sure that I found someone who could capture the beauty of the setting but also all of the memories being made that day. Nicole delivered. Our pictures are so so beautiful. Our family and friends can't stop talking about and ordering prints of them, either. Beyond capturing our day in the most perfect way, Nicole was also the best at helping to plan the day. I was a bride on a budget and didn't have a wedding coordinator or day-of planner but Nicole helped me to create a timeline for the entire day and was there to answer pretty much any question that I had. Nicole and Isabelle are also so chill and laid back! They made me and my husband feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Nicole puts her whole heart into everything she does and you can tell how much she cares about her clients and how passionate she is.

Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. Photographers usually book shortly after the couple books the venue, so we are just as filled up as they are usually.

Yes! We have assistants available for larger weddings (mainly huge wedding parties over 30 people) and 2 other photographers. We have second shooters who have shot weddings solo before as well and are very talented!

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. We do NOT outsource, so your images will never leave the hands of The Still Life Photography.

No, not at this time. We specialize in photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. We do have recommendations we can offer and videographers we have worked with many times!

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. However, we offer a 1 week sneak peek to hold you over!

You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. Most couples with a full day packages see well over 1000 images.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them. We are happy to supply you with a copy as well.

In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted 1st or 2nd shooters. We have quite the dedicated team and have you covered!
