I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I'm also a musician and I help craft most of the music in the wedding films I create. I love working with couples that have unique personalities and styles. My work resonates the most with who it's made for, and I always keep that audience in mind.

I was referred to Birch Fields by my cousin (who used Birch Fields for her wedding) 2 weeks before my June 2020 Covid wedding. We decided last minute to have the wedding even if it was just going to be immediate family. Because no extended family or friends were allowed at the time we wanted a way to record the day as if they were there. I had posted I was looking for someone to shoot on a VHS camcorder and film the whole wedding start to finish with no breaks just like old family videos we had growing up. Steven not only was up for the challenge, but spent his whole day capturing every detail of our wedding. We got copies of both 4k and VHS which is so special and cool. We were so impressed and absolutely loved Steven that we have since used him for my Sister-In-Laws baby shower and my Father-In-Laws 70s birthday party. Birch Fields is like family now!

I create short films from your old home movies and favorite photographs. Process: First, we'll chat and you tell me everything you'd like to share about you or your loved ones featured in the footage. I'll walk you through selecting the photos/videos to best tell your story. You gather all the footage (feel free to outsource to family + friends!) and send to me. And that's it! I take it from there and get to work creating a short film that reflects you + your unique story.

My mom hired Katherine to create a video for my wife and I - we saw the video for the first time at the wedding welcome party alongside everyone else and it was one of the highlights of the weekend. It seamlessly connected all the old home movies, from both sides, throughout the years and was such an amazing way to highlight and celebrate the joining of two families.

My goal is to make film videography accessible and memorable for everyone who wants their special moments captured. After learning and teaching Super8 videography for my own elopement and micro-wedding 2 years ago, I wanted to develop my business to offer Super8 to all! I specialize in couples, elopements, and micro-weddings. My average pricing depends on the event type, duration, and details!

Kylie is so professional, kind, creative, and collaborative. She took the idea I had for my engagement video and turned my dreams into reality. We got the most beautiful film video that captured our love perfectly, and all in just a few hours. She was great at communication and was a joy to work with!

My name is Ariel and I got into the wedding industry to make wedding films fun again!! I believe the wedding videography market has become oversaturated with overly cinematic and serious wedding films. My unique, documentary style of wedding film captures your day, as it was. I will not pose you or over-direct you. I aim to capture candid moments and emotions. Your wedding is the biggest party of your life, and so in turn, your video should feel like a party. I look forward to working together!

Highly recommend choosing Ariel for your wedding! I told her my vision I had in mind and she NAILED IT! Our video was INCREDIBLE!! She is also one of the sweetest people I have ever met.

Which are the most popular videographers in New York, NY?

What's the most common type of deliverables for videographers in New York, NY?

Most videographers offer a Highlight reel or Short feature deliverable.

Is a wedding videographer worth it?

Spoiler: absolutely. Skipping a wedding videographer is one of the most frequent regrets we hear from couples. Picture this: your future grandkids nestled on the couch, eyes wide as they watch you and your love looking young and oh-so-in-love. It's the magic of your day, immortalized with laughter, tears, and impressive (or hilarious?) dance moves. Sure, photos capture moments, but a video? It whisks you back in time, and lets you relive every toast and every dance exactly as they happened. So while the flowers will fade, and the cake will be devoured, your wedding film is your Oscar-winning love story for generations to come.

How long will the final wedding video be?

Ready for the premiere of a lifetime—your wedding day on film? Your final wedding video is typically a finely edited production, running anywhere from a share-worthy 3-minute highlight reel to a more comprehensive 30-minute cinematic saga. Plus, some videographers might even offer the full, uncut footage, so every giggle, tear, and dance move is yours to replay (talk about director's cut, right?). Just remember to chat with your videographer about your vision – are you after a snappy montage of the day's greatest hits or a feature-length love story? Either way, you'll be cozying up on the couch, tissues in hand, ready to relive the day scene by scene.

What is the turnaround time for a wedding video?

Your wedding video is more than just a video - it’s a carefully edited film. Generally, you'd be looking at about 2 to 6 months before you get to click play. So while you might be itching to relive those memories, remember that artistry can't be rushed. In the meantime, why not flip through your wedding album or pen some thank-you notes as the anticipation builds for your wedding film debut!

Do wedding videographers in NYC provide both raw and edited footage?

This one depends on the videographer you want to work with. Sometimes, you can add raw footage for an additional fee, and sometimes the answer is a polite but firm, "no." If you’re interested in the uncut, behind-the-scenes raw footage, make sure you ask videographers about it before booking, and review the terms around deliverables in their contract. But either way, you’ll end up with a polished, shine-like-a-diamond edited video that you’ll cherish for years to come.
