About Katherine Frizzell Films

Katherine Frizzell Films

Owner/Editor

I create short films from your old home movies and favorite photographs. Process: First, we'll chat and you tell me everything you'd like to share about you or your loved ones featured in the footage. I'll walk you through selecting the photos/videos to best tell your story. You gather all the footage (feel free to outsource to family + friends!) and send to me. And that's it! I take it from there and get to work creating a short film that reflects you + your unique story.

Primarily, all the footage + photos are ones you or your loved ones have already taken. All the memories you've collected over the years. You’ve already captured these moments. Now let me help you cherish them.

My mom hired Katherine to create a video for my wife and I - we saw the video for the first time at the wedding welcome party alongside everyone else and it was one of the highlights of the weekend. It seamlessly connected all the old home movies, from both sides, throughout the years and was such an amazing way to highlight and celebrate the joining of two families.

I hired Katherine to make a short childhood-to-the-present video for my wife’s milestone birthday. Based on what I’ve seen of Katherine’s work, I knew it would be high quality and creative, but my expectations were slightly muted because what I gave her to work with was almost all old still photographs with very few videos. I was blown away by what Katherine created! When my wife watched the nine minute film (along with family and friends) she burst into tears of joy and surprise. She absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful tribute with real narrative and emotional power, skillfully enhanced with music. If you’re looking for the visual equivalent of a lounge pianist — a film loop to play in the background while people socialize — you’d be well served by a more generic slideshow. What Katherine made for us is a one of a kind treasure that generates memories, conversation and emotion. Needless to say, we’re delighted.
