Loved working with Isabel. She had great suggestions for us when we came in with a vague vision, and stayed super-flexible and kind through every stage of the planning and execution, even helping fashion a last-minute unplanned corsage just before the aisle walk. She helped connect us with a flower recycling service as well, in response to my wish for a sustainable event. The end result was lovely. Couldn't have asked for better than Isabel!

The Gathering Florist

5.0

  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves New York, NY

My best friend Rose was planning her wedding and asked if I would arrange the flowers. I absolutely loved being creative and being part of her special day. The next week I enrolled in Flower School and after I finished my studies I started The Gathering florist and haven’t looked back!

Awarded Best of Zola
Victoria did an amazing job and was super communicative throughout the whole process. Halfway through the planning I realized the venue had repainted and Victoria easily and quickly reshuffled the floral plans to accommodate new colors. Her and her assistant were super friendly, on time, and did a beautiful job turning our venue of a Brooklyn dive bar into a lovely and romantic space. The chuppah was framed with beautiful birch trees and really gave a sense of solidity and ritual to the ceremony. They also efficiently and unobtrusively took it down after the ceremony was over. Thank you!!

I cannot express enough how incredible my experience was with Melissa! From the moment I first contacted her about our wedding, I was met with so much warmth, professionalism and kindness - we vibed instantly and I knew she was the only person I wanted to be a part of our special day. What truly touched my heart (and made me cry!) was the beautiful card she wrote me that she included when she hand-delivered my bouquet to our hotel room. It was such a thoughtful gesture that showed how much she cares about her clients and their stories. The attention to detail was extraordinary; she even included a specific type of rose in my bouquet that holds such special meaning! Melissa took the time to understand my vision and brought it to life in the most breathtaking way!! The arrangements were not only stunning but also perfectly matched the inspiration board I sent her. On the day of the wedding, everything was set up flawlessly and looked absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for someone who goes above and beyond, look no further than Lunaluxe! I wholeheartedly recommend her for any occasion!! Thank you so much Melissa & Liv for your incredible talent and making our wedding day unforgettable!! We love you guys!! xoxo

I'd seen Ruth's work on her Zola profile and on her website, but she absolutely blew us and our guests away with her design! She and her team were efficient, prompt and my jaw dropped when we entered the reception venue. Ruth was available for walkthroughs and was always responsive via email and text. When there were adjustments that needed to be made, Ruth presented options and always worked her hardest to bring our vision to life. I'd recommend StyleNique events to everyone!

    Bardin Palomo

    5.0

    New York, NY
    • Starts at $20,000

We design unique and extraordinary weddings! Site specific design, custom service, and excellent quality are characteristics of our style. We work with you to bring your personal style and vision to life! Our team possesses an intuitive comprehension of diverse lifestyles, tastes and aesthetics which we successfully translate into a dynamic visual vocabulary creating truly unique environments.

Words cannot describe how absolutely beautiful Robert Bardin and Robert Palomo made our wedding. We were married in an old rope factory in Greenpoint Brooklyn (Greenpoint Loft) which is a completely raw space. Their team arrived the second the venue opened and transformed the industrial loft into a quiet oasis of greens and the most beautiful flowers we have ever seen. They designed everything, from the tables for the reception to lights over the dance floor. They made suggestions that made the space much more welcoming (beautiful boxwood panels behind the ceremony) and lit the entire room with the most beautiful candlelight and spotlights. We didn't have to stress about anything! We heard more than one time that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. Thank you so much!!! Highly recommended!!

    Flowers by Daye

    5.0

    New York, NY
    • Starts at $1,500

Flowers by Daye is one of New York City's most distinctive floral design studios. Its founder and creative force, Daye Deura, uses her unmistakable mélange of innovation and tradition to transform event spaces and film sets into floral dreamscapes and important moments into the full gamut of momentous occasions: weddings, product launches, outdoor garden parties, fundraisers, photo shoots, one-time galas, daily or weekly flower arrangements for offices, hotels and residences. Flowers by Daye has demonstrated floral arrangements at Macy's annual flower shows. Flowers by Daye is listed and featured in New York Magazine wedding issues.

Flowers by Daye was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! From our initial consultation, her communication style was thoughtful, focused, and advisory - she really took the time to understand our vision and provide helpful guidance. After connecting with her and checking availability, she started off with a phone call to get to know us better and get an idea of what we were looking for. A few months later, we met in person at the flower district to look through different options (floral and decorative). She was always available through email and text, and due to her experience in the industry, was a great calming support to have through the planning process. The quality of her work was exceptional, with a level of detail personalization that exceeded our expectations. Both of us knew very little about flowers, so she helped advise us on which flowers would be in season and would work with our palette. She also helped us stay within our budget and still maximize the wow effect. I worked with her on the side to add a surprise "something blue" Texas Bluebonnet to my bouquet for the groom (his state flower). We were even able to adjust the boutonnieres a few days prior to ensure everything was perfect. Plus, she added flowers and decorating the cake at no additional cost! Additionally, her knowledge of the venue allowed her to provide tailored recommendations for the floral arrangements, as she knew generally the set up, lighting, and colors. Everything turned out beautifully - the arrangements were somehow both delicate and bold, and truly helped bring our vision to life. We are so grateful to the team at Flowers by Daye for helping make our day so incredible. Thank you, Daye!

      Studio3

      5.0

      New York, NY

Angela began her career as a florist since she was a little girl helping her father in his flower studio, and in event production when she founded her first company, STUDIO3, in 2003. STUDIO3 is a full service event design and production firm that serves clients in the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle industries.

Studio3 started as simply my flower vendor, but when I realized Angela also did full event production I was thrilled she could handle the entire event. From tabletop, to tent setup, there was nothing too big or small for her and her team. So glad to have her create such magical day us. I will definitely be calling her for other parties in the future.

Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Exceptional service. Flowers don't always travel well. The flowers I ordered for my daughter's wedding bouquet and the grooms boutonniere. They arrived in less than ideal condition I contacted customer service and Alexa was incredibly helpful. She not only sent new flowers overnight but was truly concerned that they now arrived in great condition. The new flowers were gorgeous and perfect. I will be buying all my flowers from Flower Moxie. We had a great experience working with Mitali. My wife and I love plants and so we wanted our wedding florals to reflect that. We reached out to Mitali and asked if she would be willing to put together a plant-forward design for our wedding. Mitali immediately got excited about the idea and started thinking of unique ways to integrate plants into the space. We were blown away by the outcome. The plants were so unique and special. We had people coming up to us all night telling us how great they looked. All the guests were also allowed to take the plants home at the end of the night which we thought was such a unique party favor and also great way to reduce waste. In addition to the center pieces, Mitali put together a stunning bridal bouquet and boutonniere that matched the colors of the wedding perfectly. Mitali was also very responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process and had some great recommendations and advice. We're so grateful to Mitali for bringing our vision to life and would highly recommend her as a wedding florist!

        5.0

        • Serves New York, NY

Violet Hour is a recurring daydream brought to life for owner and founder Amy Gilday. After 16 years of practicing law, working with flowers on the side every chance she got, Amy left her job to become a florist. She completed FlowerSchool New York’s floral design program and freelanced with various New York floral designers before beginning to take on her own clients. With the love and support of her amazing wife, two spoiled cats, and dear friends and family, she launched Violet Hour Floral Design in her beloved home of Brooklyn, NY. She’s never been happier.

So happy Amy helped with our wedding flowers! She was so communicative, collaborative and caring throughout it all. We provided some direction, but she had to creatively fill in the gaps. The colors she chose were so beautiful and unique. She also really delivered on our big request - a floral arch. She made it work visually and structurally! It was so beautiful. Lastly, Amy went above and beyond with saving flowers for me, knowing I wanted to dry them. Would strongly recommend :)

Susan was truly incredible to work with! She was always extremely friendly, quick to respond to our emails, professional, and respectful of our budget. Susan was able to take our inspiration photos and create floral arrangements that were perfect for our wedding and venue (Brooklyn Winery)! She went above and beyond what we could’ve imagined and we couldn’t believe how beautiful everything looked when we walked into the space for the first time. Susan took our vision and executed it perfectly. We received countless compliments from guests about how beautiful the arrangements were, and we loved the way that Susan was able to incorporate the different colors and textures that we were looking for with all of the floral arrangements! The flowers were also all of the highest quality. We were still able to enjoy the flowers that we took home from our wedding after we got back from our honeymoon :). Thank you, Susan, for all of the amazing work that you did for our wedding.

Bloom Culture: Do-it-Yourself Wedding Flowers was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first inquiry, their communication was prompt, kind, and professional. They answered all of my specific questions with personal responses, making the DIY flower process so easy and stress-free. The quality of their work was consistent, thorough, and truly showed how much they cared about making our day special. We saved so much money going the DIY route with Bloom Culture, and it allowed us to create so many wonderful memories putting the arrangements together with our wedding party. I highly recommend Bloom Culture to any couples looking for a reliable, affordable, and caring florist for their wedding. I wanted to do my own flowers to honor my grandmother who was a florist. She passed a few months before the wedding and I just know she would have absolutely loved it and we got to honor her in this way.

About wedding florists in New York, NY

What's the average price range for florists in New York, NY?

There are a number of different factors that influence the total cost of a wedding floral package, including the type of flowers you're using, the size of your bridal party, and amount of floral decorative elements at your wedding (don't forget gorgeous extras like ceremony arches). In New York, NY, bouquets range from $100 to $1,400. Centerpieces typically range from $100 to $2,000. The minimum price for florists often takes into account the amount of effort and time required to pull together the creations.

Which are the most popular florists in New York, NY?

Some of the most popular florists in this area include Bloom Culture: Do-it-yourself Wedding Flowers, The Faux Bouquets and Something Borrowed Blooms.

What questions should I ask when booking a wedding florist?

Florists offer a range of different services that you'll want to ask about before you book. For example:

      • Do they offer rentals of structures and additional decor?
      • Can they create mockups or sample arrangements?
      • Will they assist with flower preservation if that's something you're interested in?
      • Is breakdown/cleanup included in the package?
      • How far in advance should I book a florist in New York City?

In the hustle and bustle of New York City, timing is everything—even when it comes to locking down those petal-perfect arrangements. The truth is, the earlier, the better. Aim to find your florist at least 9-10 months before your wedding date, especially if you're eyeing a sought-after florist or if you're getting married during peak wedding season. This gives you ample time to work with them on how to bring your creative vision to life.

What seasonal flowers are available for weddings in NYC?

Here's a little pro tip: embracing in-season flowers not only captures the mood of the moment, but could also be a savvy move for your budget! Chat with your florist about what's blossoming around your big day—they'll help bring your floral visions to life without the additional markup on imported blooms. So, ready to let the seasons be your guide? Spring struts in with sweet tulips and fragrant hyacinths, while summer boasts hydrangeas and cheerful sunflowers. Rich dahlias and amber-hued calla lilies peak in fall, and elegant amaryllis and romantic red roses will brighten up the coziest winter wedding.

What happens to flowers after the wedding in NYC?

Your wedding flowers helped make your day magical. But what happens to them when you and your crew head to the after party? If you want to do more than just offer them to your guests to take home, there are many NYC based organizations that can help you donate leftover flowers to local nursing homes, hospitals, and more, so some of the joy of your day can live on.

Do florists in NYC rent out decorative items like vases and arches?

Absolutely, most of NYC's florists are not only about petals and stems. Think of them as the set decorators for your big day, offering a beautiful selection of vases, arches, candles and other décor extras that bring your vision to life. Gorgeous glassware to show off those long-stemmed roses? Check! Majestic arches that turn your aisle into a fairytale gateway? You bet. And here's the cherry on top: it's often more budget-friendly and definitely kinder to the planet to rent from your florist rather than buying stuff you'll use just once. So, if you're looking to create an enchanting atmosphere without the clutter of "what do I do with this now?" after the big day, talk to your florist about rental options. They'll have you covered with items that complement your blooms and elevate your venue from "oh" to "oh, wow."
