Poppy put together the my bouquet and the boutineeres from the groomsmen and aisle markers. The flowers were beautiful but I was a bit underwhelmed with the final product. I had wanted a much larger bouquet and compared to what I received it was beautiful but not what I was truly expecting.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mary and Davidson Designs! From the moment we first met, their professionalism and dedication to making our day perfect were evident. They had a detailed intake survey to understand our vision, venue, and budget. We had a small wedding of 25 guests at a boutique hotel in DC. We received a document with theme colors, proposed flowers, and detailed item list to make sure everything matches expectations, from the types of candle votives to the color of the bouquet ribbons. The service we received was exceptional. Every interaction was pleasant and reassuring, and Mary was incredibly responsive to our questions and updates. Mary scheduled a final walk through a month before the wedding as a final check-in. On the day of the wedding, the flowers arrived right on time, exactly as promised. This punctuality alleviated so much stress, allowing us to focus on enjoying our special day. The arrangements themselves were nothing short of breathtaking. Each bouquet, ceremony installation, and the garland for our long table was crafted with such care and artistic flair that they became one of the most talked-about aspects of our wedding. The bridal party and guests were absolutely enchanted by the floral designs. Many of our friends and family commented on how beautiful and unique the arrangements were, adding an extra layer of elegance and charm to the celebration. The colors, the variety of flowers, and the overall presentation were perfect in every way. Davidson Designs truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day beautiful and memorable, especially when other florist turned us down due to how small our wedding was. Their talent and commitment to excellence shone through in every petal and every detail. We are forever grateful for their incredible work and highly recommend them to any couple looking to add a touch of floral magic to their big day!

    Lisa Lee Florals

    5.0

    Washington, DC
    • Starts at $5,000

Founded by Lisa Lee after leaving a decade-long career in digital marketing to pursue her dream in floral design, she hopes to inspire others with the same love she has for florals. You can expect to find dreamy, nature-inspired designs.

    Awarded Best of Zola
TL;DR - Lisa and her team did a fabulous job with our wedding florals, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive, proactive in planning, and offers stunning design for very fair price points. We and our guests loved what she created. I highly recommend her! We were introduced to Lisa through our planner. The first call helped us understand how she works, what’s typical for wedding floral vendors, and what kinds of packages she offers. Lisa’s warm, a good listener, and even in the first call exudes expertise and style. Immediately confident she could do the job well. I love how she structured her proposals—she gave us an easy slide deck with colors, sample florals and greenery, vessel options, altar shapes, and other design details. It’s informative without being overwhelming, and helped us make decisions we loved. As an LGBTQ couple, it was also lovely to work with a vendor who understood how some details may be different & help us with ideas for what was unfamiliar to us. Lastly, on wedding day, Lisa and her team move quickly and almost invisibly. The space was transformed, the vision came to life perfectly, and she checked in with us and planner all throughout to make sure we were feeling good. Thanks, Lisa!

My husband and I are still on cloud 9 from our March 2024 wedding and that is in big part because of Homayra and her team at Tilbury Floral Design. From the beginning, we just clicked with Homayra because of her down-to-earth, caring, enthusiastic, and passionate spirit. Our virtual meetings with her prior to our wedding along with her quick communication and her proposals that included rich visuals, descriptions of each arrangement, pricing options, etc. helped us feel comfortable and confident in her hands. Our vision for our wedding was an all-white Cinderella fairytale and she delivered BEYOND what we envisioned! When we walked into our venues, from the church to the cocktail hour to the reception, with all the floral and candle details and decor, the ambience felt dreamy, romantic, elegant, and magical; it took our breath and - that of our guests - completely away, in the best way possible! We are forever grateful to have crossed paths with Homayra! To take a peek into our fairytale, go onto her website, where some of our beautiful wedding photos can be found under Gallery - Angelica and Thierry.

My mission is to lead my professional team in creating elevated yet unique floral designs that meet or exceed our client's expectations. My love for flowers started at a business workshop, and I am overjoyed to be able to create floral art for every client's event. It warms my heart to experience the pure happiness that our clients feel when walking into our transformed space for the first time. I look forward to our collaboration.

I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest appreciation for Kelly for being our wonderful wedding décor planner. There are so many things that I could say about how talented, thorough, and impressive she is. Even though we had countless email exchanges, Kelly never missed a beat when it came to our wedding! It's impressive how she kept everything together, even the small details. We received so many compliments of the intentionality and detailed planning of the wedding, and I must give Kelly credit for that. One thing she should be proud of is how comfortable she made us feel from our first virtual consultation all the way up to wedding day and the trust we built throughout the planning process. Kelly’s responsiveness and care for detail were greatly appreciated and were evidence of her professionalism. I want to highlight Kelly’s resiliency with finding a non-profit organization for us to donate our flowers to after the wedding. Her tenacity is unmeasurable, and the décor was breathtaking! She nailed my vision, giving me the romantic, elegant, and clean look I dreamed of. I'm sure there are lots of behind-the-scenes things we will never know about, but from our perspective, everything flowed smoothly, allowing us to fully be in the moment. That's a memory that will live with us forever. Kely, thank you for being you and blessing us with your skills! Please extend my many thanks to the amazing team at Perfectly Adorned Event Décor!

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

We are beyond grateful for the exquisite floral arrangements by Misha (Woodland Florals) for our wedding day. Every detail, from the bouquets to the centerpieces, was meticulously crafted and stunningly beautiful. Guests were in awe of the floral decor, and it truly elevated the ambiance of our venue and vision. She has this incredible knack for listening not just to what you say, but to what you want deep down. Her creations are not just flowers; they're a reflection of her artistry and her ability to capture the essence of your dreams. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    4.8

    • Starts at $350
    • Serves Washington, DC

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
We had a tropical themed wedding and used Flower Moxie for tropical flowers and greenery: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arch flowers. I wish there were more tropical related videos on their DIY Academy, but I did love working with my assigned florist and the help desk was quick in their response. For those who are getting married at the same location that the flowers are being delivered (my parents' home), I wish we would have done all of the floral arrangements the day before instead of 2 days before. And our spray roses came a day later and were a little sad looking. But overall, we were very happy with the service and highly recommend to others!

My love for floral design began inside the horticulture classroom at my high school. That classroom played a pivotal role in allowing me to be creative in ways that I never had been before. When I left for college, My goal was to study business in order to operate my own Floral Business but I quickly lost track of that dream. The pandemic served as a wake up call for me just like it did for so many others. Allowing me to rediscover my love for flowers and all things beautiful. Bazarr Blossoms is more than a business its a passion that allows me to stay true to that teenager who once created and dreamed inside that high school classroom.

We had a wonderful experience with Bazarr Blossoms. Bazarr was so collaborative and really listened and incorporated our preferences into our wedding day florals. She was able to make adjustments later in our event planning process which was a huge relief. Also, she was able to respond to issues that presented themselves day-of beautifully. I loved my bouquet and all the greenery and candles for our ceremony and dining space was so perfect.

Kishmish Event Stylist was our wedding florist, and while the initial communication was a bit slow due to their busy wedding season, they ultimately did a fantastic job. Their work was absolutely beautiful - the flowers were fresh and high quality, and they helped us get the exact designs we wanted. Once my wedding date got closer, they became very responsive and helpful, even pitching in to help with other areas when things were running late. They were punctual on the day, had everything set up perfectly, and even took some great photos and videos that we'll cherish. Overall, Kishmish Event Stylist contributed greatly to making our special day amazing.

Working with Avenue Design Studio was such a pleasure! While florals were important to me, I didn’t feel the need to be heavily involved, and their team made the process so easy. They truly listened to my vision, allowed for updates as my plans evolved, and then took care of everything from there. They were incredibly helpful in working within my budget, creatively repurposing ceremony florals for the reception tables, which made the whole evening feel cohesive and elegant. I appreciated their attention to detail, like including flowers I love (amaranthus) and avoiding ones I don’t (baby’s breath). Their ability to travel and stay all day to assist with setup was such a bonus. Highly recommend Avenue Design Studio!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Ket! She was incredibly creative and managed to perfectly capture my somewhat vague vision perfectly, bringing it to life in the most stunning way. Communication with her was fantastic—she was always easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions or updates we had. We were working with a tight budget, and she was incredibly respectful and accommodating. When we decided to DIY some of the arrangements (like the bridesmaids’ bouquets) to save on costs, she was so supportive. She even went above and beyond by connecting us with her wholesaler, making it easy to match the flowers seamlessly. I can’t thank her enough for everything. She made the entire process smooth and helped make our wedding day truly amazing. I can't recommend her enough!
