Seventh Place is an urban warehouse venue available for an array of events, weddings, parties, concerts, film and commercial productions, and large-scale exhibitions. It offers a unique, eclectic charm in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown, Los Angeles. A growing artistic and cultured community surrounds it, just steps away from Little Tokyo, Japanese Village, and Southern California Institute of Architecture. This impressive, seventy-five year old, urban interior space consists of bow truss 14 ft. high ceilings, vintage architecture with exposed brick, large windows, and skylights.

The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management, plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Originally built in the 1920’s in an area that has long served as the city’s seafood market east of Downtown, the building has lived many lives in its century of use; it’s been a hotel, a brothel, a fish and oyster company, and a commercial site for everything from glass blowing to marijuana cultivation. This mysterious history subtly informed our re-invention of the space.

Owner | Operator Amy Knoll Fraser and Chef | Owner Neal Fraser's flagship restaurant, Redbird, features Modern American cuisine that is refined, yet approachable and highlights the multicultural influences of Chef Fraser’s native city – Los Angeles. Redbird is carved into one of the City’s most historic architectural gems - the former rectory building of Vibiana. A wide variety of unique private event rooms are available, plus an intimate garden. Special events of all sizes are highly customizable combining indoor and outdoor experiences, as each room has its own featured design highlights and history. Wine Director Matthew Fosket's wine list is well-rounded with great finds from both established and emerging wine makers throughout the world. Built in 1876, Vibiana is an award-winning, chef and restaurateur-driven, full-service former cathedral-turned-event venue like no other in Los Angeles. Since 2012, Chef Neal Fraser & Amy Knoll have operated the property, adding their flagship restaurant Redbird, along with 6 private dining spaces in the rectory building adjacent to Vibiana. Vibiana offers an extensive selection of beverages curated by Bar Director Tobin Shea and Wine Director Jaime Aratze. Vibiana's team provides restaurant-quality service with every detail considered. Great care was taken to keep original historic details intact while modern touches including a state of the art lighting and sound system, and high quality, custom rental equipment were added. The beauty of the architecture of the Main Hall and its lush Courtyard provides an incredibly versatile backdrop for a stunning event that feels both intimate and grand.

The Majestic Downtown is unlike any other wedding venue in Los Angeles. The magic is in the history of the arched windows, in the curve of the marble pillars, in the intricacy of the hand-painted ceiling. We are the venue for the couples who notice the details and want something utterly timeless and one-of-a-kind. We recognize that everyone has different visions of their big day, which is why we are one of the few venues that allows you to bring in all of your own vendors. While we have an excellent in-house caterer, their services are an option, not a requirement. Even the crystals that cascade from the chandeliers are removable, so that we may transition from rustic to glamorous in the span of a couple of hours. The complete freedom to make your vision a reality is what makes us unique.

The Parish Center was renovated in 2022/23 to give it a modern look while maintaining the historic foundation of our space.
