Aunt Suzie can rest - we have it all under control! You drop off your decor & we set it up to your specifications. We are on site from the first person who arrives until the end of the event & your belongings are repackaged, making sure your day runs smooth & on schedule.

Stissing House is one of the oldest taverns in America, located at the crossroads of the village of Pine Plains in the heart of Dutchess County. It’s 90 minutes from New York City, and 30 minutes south of Hudson. It has hosted feasts for generations. Downstairs, intimate dining rooms and fireside lounges are ideal for parties of 8-10 people. Upstairs, the oldest Dutch Colonial ballroom in America is designed for long-table dinners and weddings of 25-150 people. Gather your friends and family for pitchers of shandy and wood fired eggs the day before or morning after your party. Chef/Proprietor Clare de Boer cooks food that is generous and has a sense of place. Ingredients come from surrounding farms and are prepared simply on the tavern’s mammoth hearth. The eggs are laid today, the butter is homemade, and the food is for feasting.

Our West Gallery, located in the Arts-&-Crafts style Museum Pavilion, offers a unique setting for weddings. Guests can enjoy cocktails on the covered terrace and shaded courtyard, then dine and dance in an elegant gallery with hardwood floors, a cathedral ceiling, and three walls of windows and French doors providing access to the estate’s 200 acres of gardens and grounds. The West Gallery comfortably accommodates between 50 and 150 guests for dinner and dancing, while the adjacent Garden Lawn may also be rented for a ceremony overlooking the perennial gardens. For your convenience, the rental includes tables and chairs, a caterer’s kitchen, air conditioning, ample restroom facilities, and easy parking. It was originally built in the 1800s. The outdoor areas can also be incorporated for your event--our deck and yard are completely open-air; you would be welcome to work with a third-party rental company to have a tent set up, if of interest.
