Nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Mad River Barn is situated on 17 beautiful acres of gardens, woodlands and streams. Hosting only one event each week allows us to offer a weekend-long destination experience that you & your guests will enjoy and remember forever. On the hill behind the Main Barn, our state-of-the-art post & beam pavilion provides couples with a rustic, elegant space for dinner & dancing on Saturday evening. This space is conveniently located next to the ceremony site and encompasses a stunning pergola. The Main Barn building is home to 8 of 18 inn rooms, as well as both our dining room & pub. Adjacent to the Main Barn is the Farmhouse, housing two bunk-style rooms. Just across the parking lot sits the Longhouse & Annex comprised of an additional eight inn rooms and offering a bit of privacy from the hustle & bustle of the main events.

Nestled among the flower gardens of perennials and annuals the wedding barn opens onto a hillside pasture and a walking path that crosses a small bridge and leads to the hilltop wedding site. The first Common Man Restaurant opened in Ashland, NH in 1971. In the summer of ’72, we catered our first uncommon event. More than 50 years later, we offer 17 event venues in five locations across the state. We’ve renovated the event halls at The Common Man Inn & Spa in Plymouth and opened The Nest, a cozy event space at Common Man Ashland. We’re excited to host events at The Barn on the Pemi, our rustic event barn located in Plymouth, accommodating up to 300 guests with views of the mountains and Pemi river.

Sleepy Hollow’s Round Barn and Pavilion feature a majestic view of Vermont’s famed Camel’s Hump from the large reception area that can accommodate up to 165 guests. Have your wedding ceremony by the pond, cocktails under the pavilion and dance the night away in the 17 sided Round Barn. Included in our wedding package is a two-night stay in our eight distinctively decorated guest rooms. Each offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains or our pond. Awaken each morning to a delicious breakfast. We also allow camping for weddings and have a bonfire pit. The West Mountain Inn was originally built as a farmhouse in 1809. From 1880 to 1920, first a gristmill and then a lumber mill were operated on the Battenkill River at the foot of the mountain. In 1904 Ned and Gwendolyn Rochester purchased the 150 acre farm and began to transform it into an elegant summer estate. After a succession of other residents the estate later became an arts and retreat center.

Our barn is located only 12 miles from Lake George Village offering onsite ceremonies and receptions with picturesque landscaping for photography. The barn is constructed from Hemlock post & beam cut in Northern VT and includes all the amenities you could need at your event.
