About this venue

The historic Horse & Hound is a 12-bedroom lodge in the White Mountains that is perfect for an intimate micro-wedding or grand affair. Guests have easy access to some of the northeast's best hiking, and mountain and road biking. The lodge sits on a quiet country road two hours from Boston, Portland and Burlington, so your guests will have easy access to airport. The eight-acre estate offers variety of options for wedding events, including: an exposed-beam dining room, a large paved patio, upper and lower outdoor terraces, a charming garden and greenhouse, and a horse trailer bar! Couples can also take advantage of the venue’s many photo opportunities, including among the sugar maples and the bridge over the babbling brook. The Horse & Hound provides an easy drop off and turnaround spot for buses and 55 parking spaces for wedding guests. There are a number of other accommodation options for guests not staying at the property within 5 miles.

Wood Beamed Dining Room

The best indoor reception locale is the wood-beamed dining room. It can accommodate guests with a dance floor. The chairs and square tables are from the original 1940s inn. The Horse & Hound also has 3 wood round tabletops and 2 banquet tabletops that are handmade and sit on the square tables. the furniture can be cleared and the ceremony can either take place in front of the fireplace or in front of the glass doors.
