At Common Ground Center, you’ll find everything you need for the wedding day you’ve imagined – beautiful rustic facilities, breathtaking mountain scenery, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life. This is a place where your family and friends can gather, relax, and celebrate for a whole weekend while enjoying nature, exclusive site use, and each other. Our 700-acre camp is available from mid-May to mid-October and can accommodate up to 200 ceremony guests. Common Ground is located just 30 minutes from Burlington, Vermont, allowing for easy travel for family and friends coming from far away. This venue is the ideal place for DIY-minded couples who have that picturesque, green, rustic Vermont wedding in mind. With a variety of venues for small and medium-sized celebrations, each space offers plenty of flexibility for you to arrange and decorate however you’d like.

Dining Hall

Our rustic Dining Hall provides a space for Dining, Dancing and more. Dress it up or keep it casual, this space lends itself well for any style event!

Our largest facility features a bamboo dance floor and can seat up to 165 people. This building also has a large, screened porch ideal for cocktail hour. Bonus game room attached with air hockey, ping pong, foosball, piano, and board games galore - sure to be a favorite room for guests. The Dining Hall is attached to our full-sized Commercial Kitchen making it a caterer/servers ideal set up.

Hay Barn

Get together in this historic, rustic space.

Our 1,000-square-foot barn with exposed beams and a cathedral ceiling offers plenty of open space that’s ideal for ceremonies, meetings, yoga, dance, and more. It’s a favorite activity space during camp and a peaceful and picturesque place to host weddings and retreats. The space offers electricity and wifi, and folding chairs are included in rentals. The nearest restrooms are in the Creekside Barn. The Hay Barn is available to rent from mid-May through mid-October.

Eco-Lodge

Intimate event space and lodge that offers comfort and sustainability.

The Eco-Lodge is available to rent year-round and sleeps up to 31 overnight guests in eight rooms, most with private bathrooms. This unique, comfortable, and quiet retreat features a fully furnished common room for gatherings, with a cozy woodstove, a full kitchen, wi-fi, laundry, and windows overlooking the Green Mountains. The Eco-Lodge is the centerpiece of our sustainability ethos and was built with wood and stone harvested on campus, local and reclaimed fixtures, and energy efficiencies throughout. The Eco-Lodge is wheelchair accessible.

Outdoors

You can choose from many open fields all with breathtaking views of the Hogback and Green Mountains for your ceremony and reception. Many couples select dates in September and October to take advantage of the unparalleled Vermont foliage.
