Nestled in the serene foothills of Southern Vermont’s Green Mountains, The Hermitage Inn welcomes guests with its unique brand of mountain elegance and inviting hospitality. An extensive renovation of the property and grounds has brought a luxury country resort, award-winning culinary team, and 5-star guest experience to the Deerfield Valley. The Hermitage Inn features luxurious guest rooms with views of Haystack Mountain, a private carriage house, upscale dining options, and a garden patio. Set on 112 acres, the property features a trout pond, apple orchards, private gardens, hiking and cross country ski trails and a covered bridge. James Beard Award Winning Chef Michael Schlow and his team have partnered with local producers to create the best dining experience in Southern Vermont.     From the moment we stepped foot into The Hermitage Inn, we knew we had found the perfect venue for our wedding. The quality of the Inn’s service and the vendors they recommended turned into a simply stunning outcome - the venue's ambiance was truly transformative, elevating our special day to a magical, luxurious yet timeless experience. If there were any glitches on the day of the wedding, my husband, family and I didn't notice them, as the team executed everything flawlessly. The food was outstanding, and our guests are still raving. The people who work at The Hermitage Inn are so friendly and detail-oriented - we would choose this venue again in a heartbeat. In fact, all of our family and friends are still reaching out saying how much fun they had at our wedding and calling it the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The planner Gina is exceptional. Her responsiveness and experience allowed her to be on top of every detail. I had some pre-wedding vendor glitches and she was supportive and offered solutions which all turned out well. Gina and her assistant were extremely responsive and knowledgeable throughout the entire planning process. Special shout out to our favorite bartender Amanda and server Kristen - we love you! The custom drinks are outstanding and the options for gourmet dishes that change seasonally are amazing and allowed us to build a beautiful menu for both the wedding and rehearsal dinner in the wine cellar. The Hermitage Inn exceeded all of our expectations and made our special day truly unforgettable. If you are looking for a venue that allows for an intimate setting, comfortable accommodations, a customized experience and a great area for guests to explore look no further!

    Today is our three month wedding anniversary and we are still talking about how perfect our wedding was, with a huge part of that due to The Hermitage Inn. The team at The Hermitage made the entire process easy, calming and fun and made the weekend lovely, memorable and perfect. Gina was with us from moment one and was a constant professional who was warm, non-judgemental and available whenever needed. She made sure the day of went on without a hitch and took care of all the big and small details, making sure we didn’t need to worry about anything. I was very specific about wanting to start hair and make up later in the day and Gina adjusted the schedule and made sure I had my morning to myself. During the weekend Mercer, Jan, Sarah, Katia and so many others, along with Gina, made it the best weekend with all of our guests saying the same thing. From the rehearsal dinner, breakfasts in the morning, bar service and, of course, the big event, it was all excellent, personal and thoughtful. Location and venue wise The Hermitage was again, perfect. The property and inn are beautiful, luxurious and luscious. It was incredible to have the entire inn to ourselves with our closest family and friends. The carriage house was a perfect home base to not only get ready in but to have drinks at and to have a little welcome event for just those staying at the inn on Thursday night. I have pictures of my parents and aunts and uncles sitting on the porch telling stories which I will cherish forever. The grounds were beautiful for the wedding and even though the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were at the same venue- each part of the weekend felt unique and intentional as the venue offers so many options. Its been fun to look at the other weddings that have happened since ours on Instagram because not one of them have looked similar. That must be the magic of The Hermitage Inn and Gina, as they truly allow you to bring your own wedding to life. Can’t wait to come back for a weekend and reminisce. My aunts and parents also fell in love with the venue and are planning a trip up the winter.

    We had the absolute best wedding day! I could not have asked for more from our venue. The staff was amazing and the on-site coordinators, Gina and Mercer, were truly the best to work with! They were incredibly attentive during our two-year long planning process. I always felt like a priority and it was amazing to have people to ask questions, chat through logistics, and have in our court. Our guests loved the space and having the ability for our wedding party to all stay at the venue was absolutely everything we hoped it would be. The food and aesthetic were PERFECT. It was everything a bride could have ever asked for!!

    You get the best parts of the “wedding factory” with the best parts of a seemingly small, dedicated, intimate affair. What still stands out to us and all of our guests- how the staff seemed to genuinely be happy we were all there. They could not have been nicer from minute one of the weekend until the last person left. It was infectious. On top of that the food was incredible, I don’t know how you can get that consistency for so many people. From minute 1 with Gina, we were in great hands and she had every detail and every minute laid out- even if we were more or less hands on in different areas. We can’t wait to go back and feel the nostalgia already.
