Welcome to the Gilded Age. Right here. Right now. A unique Pittsburgh Boutique Hotel. Once home to one of Pittsburgh’s most prominent attorneys, when you cross the threshold of the Mansions on Fifth Hotel, you enter another world – one of elegance, sophistication and opulence. And yet despite its grandeur, the Mansions on Fifth Hotel honors the simplicity of that time. Our boutique, upscale accommodations offer a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle at the intersection of Pittsburgh’s most prominent universities, medical centers, and technology and innovation hubs. And, since September 30, 2016, the Mansions is operated by the Priory Hospitality Group, Pittsburgh’s premier owner, operator and developer of independent hotels and event spaces. Among its other holdings, Priory Hospitality Group owns and operates the Priory Hotel and Grand Hall at the Priory on Pittsburgh’s North Shore.

At the Mansions on Fifth Hotel, we love weddings! We especially the blending of our unique space with a once-in-a-lifetime event.

The Mansions offer an exquisite backdrop to any special day. The Hotel has two houses; the larger Fifth Avenue House and the Amberson House. Fifth Avenue House is a splendid setting for any event; featuring an oak staircase, and four rooms, with their own personality. The Parlour is light and airy, while the Dining Room reminds one of an English dining club. The Oak Room boasts carved oak paneling, and the Library features an array of books.

Mansions boasts 22 luxurious guest rooms and suites for its clients and their guests -- 13 in the Fifth Avenue House and 9 in the Amberson House. While the Mansions offers guests a taste of the Gilded Age in its one -of-a-kind guest rooms and suites, they do not suffer from a lack of modern amenities such as a fitness center and complimentary Wi-Fi.

    The first time we saw the Mansions on Fifth, we thought it was the perfect venue for our big day... and it was! The entire historic property is absolutely stunning, both the exterior and the interiors of each room (you'll have some amazing photos!). The many food options we tried were all delicious and the chef was accommodating in making any menu adjustments we requested. The whole staff was super helpful and professional, with a special shoutout to the event manager Marissa, who helped plan our wedding though the months leading up; and to the day-of event manager Zach, who expertly kept everything on track and helped make the day perfect. I'd say the venue is ideal for a small to medium sized event, we had 40 people and it was great. Aside from events, it is still a very cool place to stay if you’re in the Shadyside area for a night or two.

    The Mansions on Fifth Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the very beginning, their communication was prompt, efficient, and incredibly patient as we navigated the planning process. The historic property is truly beautiful, with an artistic and elegant aesthetic that served as the ideal backdrop for our special day. The Mansions team was always there for us, working seamlessly with our other vendors to ensure everything was set up exactly as we envisioned. Zach, our day-of coordinator, was incredible - he made sure the entire event ran smoothly from start to finish.
