My name is Allison James and I got married July 22nd, 2022! It was the absolute best day of my life and it made me realize how much I enjoy planning and coordinating weddings! I am a 5th grade teacher in Connecticut during the week! I am the type of person who is always moving and enjoys doing things and being out of the house! When I am at home, I enjoy snuggling and playing with my cat Harry who is the best boy! If you ask my friends, they will tell you that I am a hopeless romantic! I just LOVE love! I want to help you have the best day of your life at your wedding- and no request is too wild! Just ask me, I had my cat in my wedding!

What sets me apart is that I am willing to work with any budget, big or small! I can help you have the wedding of your dreams, no matter what those dreams are. I love hearing a bride or groom's vision and then creating it for them. No request is too big, small, or strange!

    We hired Allison for month-of coordination, which included planning calls starting 3 months before our wedding. She took the time to get to know our wedding and our vision and asked all the right questions that we might have otherwise forgotten to consider. She was instrumental in the setup and smooth-running of our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. We are so glad we made the choice to switch from trying to do it all ourselves to bringing Allison on board and we’d make the same choice 100 times over! Highly recommend!

    We hired Allison for our wedding in May of 2024 as a Day of Coordinator. The wedding day went smoothly and Allison did not do a bad job, but I can't say that she went above and beyond for us. On our initial call, it was explained to me that the month prior to the wedding, Allison would take over all communication with my vendors. However, this was not really the case. One of the main reasons why we hired Allison was because we wanted help building out the timeline for the day. We were the first of really any of our friends or family to get married, and we weren't exactly sure the order and timing of how things typically went. Instead of reaching out to vendors to confirm arrival times, etc. Allison instructed me to do this even though we were within the one month period at this point. As I collected the times, I sent them over to her via text, as she requested. She then seemed surprised that I had not added the times into the wedding day timeline document she created when we spoke on the phone. I supposed I thought I was sending them to her via text so that she could do this. I also needed to collect liability insurance from all of my vendors, which I asked Allison to do as again, I was under the impression that she would be taking over all vendor communication. She did end up collecting all the paperwork and I am thankful for that, but I needed to follow up with her multiple times to ensure she got all of the paperwork. Come the day of the wedding, both my mother and I felt she was underdressed. Allison ensured that all of the decor was placed where it was supposed to go; however, there were some details that were a bit off that I had hoped she would have caught. For example, the arch for our ceremony was terribly crooked. While she was not responsible for building the arch, I just had expected that she would have made sure details like this were corrected, as now all of my ceremony photos are tainted with the crooked arch. When I went to change into my second dress for the night, the zipper of the dress broke. She seemed very uninterested in helping, and the assistant photographer ended up stepping in. Allison did finally jump in to help when we still couldn't figure it out, but again, I just had higher hopes I suppose. Come the end of the night, my mother had completely cleaned up the bridal suite, which I will admit is very characteristic of my mother. But again, I wish it hadn't gotten to the point where my mom even had the chance to do this. I completely understand that Allison is a team of one and that she cannot be everywhere at once, but I think that maybe our wedding was just not a match for her. I am not posting this review with the intention of trashing her name or reputation, as clearly, many other brides have had a great experience with her based on the previous reviews. I simply post this in hopes that Allison will see this as an opportunity for growth as she continues to expand her business.
