A "one-stop-shop" stress-free experience with excellent service is what we offer. Our beautiful Ballroom holds up to 300 guests. We include a two-room suite for the Bride & Groom the night of the Reception, we have a Banquet Manager that runs the event from beginning to end, we set up and tear down all the decorations, all the linens, tables and chairs are included (we will add our chair covers for $2 each) and we include uplighting in the room. We also do a group block for your guests at a discounted rate. We set up a Host and/or Cash Bar at no extra cost. The Ceremony can be held here as well for a small fee. We will need 2 hours between the Ceremony and the Reception to flip the room. Our Pre-Function Area and Patio are ideal for a Cocktail Reception during that time or guests can come back when the Reception opens. Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse caters for our events. Our Chef is very flexible and we offer options for guests with dietary restrictions.

This firehouse was considered "Old Engine House No. 35 & Ladder Co. 16" and now named Story Hill FireHouse. Historic "bungalow style" firehouse was purchased in December 2018 by Janelle Meyer-Brown, owner/planner of evenement planning. Janelle brought new life to the Firehouse by opening walls and adding some modern touches to compliment the historic elements. She has designed the building to be a unique event venue option that will make your event ONE OF A KIND! The Venue at River's Edge is a recently restored Venue in downtown waterloo. Formerly the building was used as a community building before the city of waterloo had things like a school gym or a theater. At one time the building hosted a long list of events including basketball games, weddings, movies, plays, and even a rifle range in the basement. The Chapel was finished in 1905 and was in use until 2007 when the 3 Catholic Parishes (St. Michael’s, St. Patrick’s, and St. Peter’s) merged into one. The new Parish is now known as St. Katharine Drexel Parish. In November 2010 we purchased the church from St. Katharine Drexel Parish. A lifeless shell that had been empty for 3 years, we hope to revitalize this stately building, share its beauty and grandeur with the community, and open it to all who are looking for a unique space to hold events. Opening in mid-summer of 2011, Chapel of the Archangels is limited only by your imagination, we offer a great place to hold weddings, wedding receptions, anniversaries, vow renewals.
