About this venue

The Venue at River's Edge is a recently restored Venue in downtown waterloo. Formerly the building was used as a community building before the city of waterloo had things like a school gym or a theater. At one time the building hosted a long list of events including basketball games, weddings, movies, plays, and even a rifle range in the basement. After being restored we are now again hosting events with a primary focus on weddings and receptions. We hope that you will allow us to host your Event in our beautiful historic building in downtown waterloo.

This is our main hall complete with chandelier and late 1800s bar. In this area you will also find a stage, 40ft outside deck, and large bathrooms your guests will not have to wait in line for.

This area is great for gatherings of less than 50 people. it is included with the rental of the main hall and is available for hosting the rehearsal dinner as well as extra space the night of your event. If can also be rented separately price varying depending on your needs.

Description

This Package is really our only package. we believe in doing one wedding a weekend. This reduces stress on our clients and makes sure our staff are not wore out from an event the night before. You have access to the venue from noon on Friday till noon on Sunday. this allows time to set up Friday and tare down Sunday. The lower hall is also included for a rehearsal dinner space if you would like.

    We came across this venue and from the moment we walked in the doors we were in awe. From the old ticket booth to the beautiful wood bar, the stage and the stunning chandelier you can see from the outside, it is so very special. Everyone including our vendors couldn’t stop talking about how great the venue was. The owners were also great to work with and could tell they loved their venue and it’s rich history. Bonus you get a great bridal room to get ready, a quaint rehearsal area having it the entire weekend was so appreciated!
