“My wedding was on December 9th and I have been eager to write this review to share my experience with High Voltage. While I worked with many vendors, High Voltage went absolutely above and beyond. Prior to the wedding day, I met with Anthony several times so that he could get to know us and understand what music and atmosphere worked best for us. I felt like we worked as a team to finalize all of the details. It was a perfect mix of them letting us do what we wanted while also providing us with recommendations based on their expertise and what had worked best in the past. The entire day they exceeded above and beyond and didn’t miss a beat. They performed music and video services for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They had check ins with us throughout the day to make sure everything was working well from the temperature of the room to the uplighting to the vibe of the music. One unique quality that High voltage has is their ability to combine music with videography. At first I wasn’t sure if I should add on the videography but it was 1000000% worth it. They created 3 reels for us and filmed my ceremony as a surprise which was the best surprise ever. Every single add on was worth it from the dancing on the cloud, to the additional uplifting, to the reel, to the DJ booth, to the CO 2 cannons. Anthony even stepped in to help last minute when I wanted to donate my bouquet to my mom by facilitating the speech when I was feeling overwhelmed to talk in front of people. I still have people raving about their services… people from ages of 12 to 94 years old. I loved how you could pick the layout for the DJ booth and you got a special album after. The turnaround time for the reel was unmatched. Angelo’s work with the reel was 1000000/10. I got back the content in less than two weeks. I never once felt in the dark and most importantly I didn’t just feel like a number to them. I honestly can’t say one bad or negative thing about them. Thank you for making our day so special!!!”

“Hiring DJ KDOT LIM (Kevin) was the best decision we made when going through the process of hiring our vendors. I am very particular about my music and it was a TOP priority that we worked with someone that understood our vibe, vision, and overall music selection for our big day. He was such a pro and knew what to ask for our venue's AV set up, music prep, and even attending rehearsal which was totally optional for him to join. Kevin understood everything from the timing of the music for the processional, and most importantly my big entrance down the aisle. When it was time to party, he spun all the tunes I requested and also went above and beyond to DJ the most FUN set ever!!! One of my highlights from the day was my husband and I dancing to one of our favorite house tracks that I didn't even request. He just had the perfect song queued up for the right time!!! “Let’s start with “WOW!” We had a music festival themed wedding with four bands so music was a critical piece of our wedding weekend and the standards were high. We interviewed over 20 bands from the NYC area and decided to go with Vitamin M after really vibing with their band leader, JJ. And boy are we glad we did! JJ worked with us to curate the perfect performance for us and our guests. He was able to balance dance songs and classics alongside some custom requests that went off the beaten path of most traditional weddings from the likes of The Band, Talking Heads and The Clash. He even helped us surprise our guests with a singing introduction of the bride and groom. He took time to get to know us and was always happy to answer any questions we had. “Highly, highly recommend the Barnstorm for a wedding or any event. We hired them for our wedding the last weekend of September 2019 in Montauk, and they absolutely put the night over the top! First and foremost, they are a great band; not your typical “wedding band”. They aren’t cookie cutter (i.e. you won’t hear them playing the same songs that you hear at every wedding) and they certainly aren’t stiff. They vibe off each other and the room. They are legitimately having a fun time performing with each other and that permeates throughout the room. Everyone will be up dancing, singing, drinking, and sweating their butts off, and having a blast! What to expect: -Professionalism. Brooks responds promptly and covers all bases. No detail will be overlooked during the planning stages. Day of, they get to the venue well ahead of time to sound check and make sure everything is sounding perfect. During the event, they are great at providing direction and making sure everything runs smoothly. -Personalization and flexibility. The guys truly care about making the event as special as possible and are very open to any idea to bring the event over the top. In addition to our “special request” songs (which they nailed) the band was incredibly gracious at my request to join them onstage to “surprise” my wife and guests by playing a song along with them. It could not have gone over any better…my wife was thrilled and it absolutely brought the house down! -Party! They know what will get everyone up and moving. Their catalogue of songs is well over 200 and it includes all decades and genres. Multiple guests commented that they didn’t want to leave the dance floor to get dessert or go to the bathroom because every song was such an amazing jam. The Barnstorm is absolutely worth every penny. We knew they were the right band for our wedding the first moment we heard them at Hill Country, and we feel so lucky and grateful to the guys for playing our wedding.
