Based out of Brooklyn, NY, DJ KDOT LIM (Kevin Lim) is a 20+ year professional open format DJ that brings a unique blend of nightlife, wedding, & event experience to the wedding process and day-of. With a DJ style thats both engaging & fitting at all times, he understands not only what to play, but how and when to play it most effectively. Whether it be mainstream or alternative music, there will be dancing (and singing) ensuring your celebration is unforgettable. In addition to providing DJ services & sound equipment, Kevin will provide MC services, making any announcements and introductions throughout your reception.

While creatively mixing an extensive array of music, genres & eras ('50s - current), he also specializes in Top40, Pop, House (Deep, Tech, Tropical, Disco), EDM, HipHop, R&B, Funk, Soul, Disco, Motown, Latin, Reggaeton, Salsa, Afrobeat, Reggae, Dancehall, Rock (Classic, Alternative, Indie, Pop-Punk, Country + more). He offers consultations to ensure he understands your vision and caters to your taste. You can even create a do-not-play list upon request.     To say that Kevin worked with us to bring our dream wedding to life is an understatement. He truly went above and beyond every step of the way! For context, my husband and I are both big music fanatics and had a very particular vision for the vibe that we wanted to create, specifically for the dance party segment of our reception. When we found Kevin, everything clicked right into place. He was extremely receptive to what we wanted and was on the same page as us from the get-go. Kevin never made us feel like we were asking for too much; he was equally as excited to work with us as we were to work with him. Once we heard one of his sets at Monarch Rooftop, we knew he was the one for us. He not only had incredible knowledge of the sound we wanted (primarily hip-hop with some soca and dancehall), but his transitions and mixes were *chef's kiss*. Leading up to the wedding, Kevin was extremely responsive and communicative. We had zoom calls in the weeks before the wedding to go over every detail regarding our songs for processing down the aisle and our first dances. Kevin was in touch with our venue as well to ensure that from an equipment and sound standpoint, all would go smoothly on the day of. Words cannot describe how much fun we had during our wedding and reception thanks to Kevin's talent! So many of our guests have approached us since the wedding talking about how amazing the music was and just how fun and lit the vibes were. Even though we had a very specific vision for our wedding (and Kevin 1000% helped us achieve it!!), he is definitely a very versatile DJ, and we fully trust that he could cater to any client's preferences and requests for their own wedding. We seriously cannot recommend him enough!

    We couldn’t be happier with our choice to hire Kevin as our wedding DJ! His professionalism and clear communication throughout the planning process made everything so easy. On the day, he perfectly blended our favorite indie songs with wedding classics, creating an amazing atmosphere that kept everyone on the dance floor. Highly recommend!

    DJ KDOT LIM was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first call, they were incredibly professional, fun, and supportive throughout the entire process. Their high-quality mixing and song selection kept the energy up all night and they did an excellent job of keeping us on track with the timeline. The whole experience was great - they made the process so easy and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ to be a part of our special day. 10 out of 10!

    Kevin was the absolute best! He was the DJ at our wedding this past September and I honestly can say that he did a stellar job. The ceremony went smoothly and in large part due to the audio. The music throughout was just as we coordinated. The audio was loud and crisp, especially during the sermon. It speaks to Kevin's professionalism as prior to our big day, he was very open on the communication side and even went to our venue prior to coordinate set up. As for the reception, the hits kept coming! All the speeches were audible, the opening dances were lovely and when it was time to bring the house down, Kevin delivered. All in all, a great guy, my wife and I were very happy to have hired him. 10/10 would recommend him for weddings, or any other events.
