We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! We got married at "A Private Estate" in October of 2018. We visited the year before, and it was one of the few (and the last) places we looked at. I loved it from the start. The grounds were beautiful, but more importantly, the people were great. I felt like we were dealing with real people who were doing what they do out of both love and pride. They showed us all the options, allowed us plenty of space to decide, and overall gave off good vibes. Our intuition told us this was it, and a year later we were so grateful we listened. After a year of planning an outdoor wedding we found out there would be a nor'easter... in October... with high winds and hail... the day of the wedding (thirty-seven degrees!) When we arrived, on Thursday, I was devastated. I never thought I'd find myself crying over the weather, or caring quite so much, but after all the work that goes in to planning and all the family that had traveled to be with us I felt sick. I thought I would be so sad until the wedding was over but as soon as we stepped out of the car the crew, specifically Jack, turned the whole situation around. He brought us wine and firewood, walked us through the estate, allowed us to use this beautiful tent they had put up, and talked about the set-up and how we could work it all out no matter what happened with the weather. He spoke with me and my mother outside the front house in the windy, chilly weather for maybe an hour, reassuring us that no matter what happened he would figure it out, and he did. The morning of the wedding was rain, wind, hail, etc... but that didn't stop Jack, and our wedding planner Danielle (Every Little Detail), from making sure everything was perfect. We watched them run up and down the hills in the rain, shuffling people, heating the barn, and working so hard on our behalf, and I don't think a single guest really even noticed. All we heard was how beautiful the space was, how much fun everyone was having, how impressed they were. RIpley brought us umbrellas and blankets as waited on the porch during the ceremony and was so welcoming and accommodating. A Private Estate was the perfect venue for us. It is so customizable too, whether you want a fancy & formal affair, or a more relaxed party. The views and the grounds speak for themselves, but the true value is having a supportive staff who care as much about your wedding as you do. Every time I look at my wedding photos (the rain makes for some great lighting!) I remember all the love from our families and friends, and the overwhelming appreciation for the staff at A Private Estate. It is cliche, but if I could go back, I wouldn't change a thing. Two years later I still feel the same gratitude. With A Private Estate you can have the outdoor wedding of your dreams... even in a nor'easter.

Casa del Monte

5.0

Loch Sheldrake, NY

  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $7,500
  • Open house

Your Dream Oasis for a Magical Catskills Wedding. This secluded, breathtaking estate is situated on 10 acres and 3 private bodies of water, with its own private island. The property emanates sacred energy. Over time, it has served us a venue for weddings (from Chassidic to Hindu and all in between), as well as yoga and intimacy retreats, and concerts. The landscaping is designed around a sacred octagonal shape — w/ an octagonal gazebo on the island, and the main house being an octagon as well. Parking for 80+ cars, and lots of vendor staging areas. Hold your ceremony near a majestic lakeside weeping willow tree, on the island (inside or outside of gazebo), or in a clearing surrounded by flowers, facing the lake. Includes a 1,400 sq ft separated poolhouse for indoor cocktails, a beautifully appointed honeymoon suite w/ private kitchen/living room, and a 3BR main house, w/ wrap-around balcony overlooking the water, 20-foot tall stone fireplace, and a majestic 700 sq ft main BR.

Lea and Dov provided an exceptional wedding experience for us. Their communication throughout the process was eloquent, clear, and incredibly helpful as they guided us through the history and details of their beautiful property, and connected us with all the right third party vendors. The quality and value for money this property offers is unparalleled - the grounds are truly magical, with a sense of privacy, luxury, and spiritual connection to the scenic waterfront and private lake. We felt an incredible sense of peace on their sprawling, private land — only 1.5-2 hours from NYC — making it the perfect venue to get married for us. We are beyond grateful to Lea and Dov for helping make our special day so memorable. (Also, the main house and honeymoon suite are awesome, mountain chic!)

Candlewood Inn fully exceeded our expectations for our wedding day. Because of them and the staff our day ran so smoothly and we were able to just enjoy ourselves. From the beginning of the planning process they were clear with all information needed, dates for planning/deadlines and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed the way they did the group tasting as it allowed us to see the spaced with an event happening along with tasting the food, which is delicious. We loved the food on our day from the passed apps, to the stations and entrees and our guests agreed - we got SO many compliments on the food. We were happy with working with Candlewood Inn but once our wedding day actually came around we were blown away. From the second we walked into the venue the Krista and our bridal attendants were two steps ahead of us doing everything we needed to be comfortable and fully enjoy ourselves. We were never without a drink in our hands and they made sure we had all the food we needed. They kept track of my bouquet and helped me with my dress - even fixing/pinning my bustle when it broke! They wrangled our large bridal party and had the ceremony run so smoothly. I could go on and on about how amazing the staff was. I could not recommend Candlewood Inn enough!

Factoria at Charles Point

4.7

Peekskill, NY
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor

Factoria at Charles Point is a grand waterfront wedding event venue located in Peekskill, New York. This 34,000-square-feet event space includes a dance floor, a private catering hall, and a large balcony deck which is ideal for large gatherings. The venue is also conveniently located near the Metro North’s Hudson Line, which provides easy access for your out-of-town guests.

The Factoria was the perfect venue for us. The reception area is stunning, with huge panoramic views of the Hudson River, letting in tons of natural light. We had a short ceremony in the annex, which was super convenient being in one location. The food was delicious!! From appetizers, to salads, and entrees, everything was a hit. They make a delicious espresso martini. The event staff were helpful and friendly to all guests as well. About 6 months before our wedding date, we were invited to the venue for a tasting with several other couples, which made us feel so confident about the food, service, and overall venue. They set everything up to feel like a wedding, with a mini cocktail hour to try the appetizers, then seated dinner to try all of the entrees. Megan was very professional and extremely helpful every step of the way, reminding us when documents and action items were due ahead of schedule. On the day of the wedding, Megan made us feel like celebrities. I highly recommend using the bridal suite, it was like a private oasis amongst the chaos of the day. I got ready there with some of my friends while my family helped set up our DIY decor. Megan was extremely accommodating to my party, helping us at every step of the way. We even got a box of leftovers the next day! It's like we relived the best day ever all over again.
