“We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

The day of, he arrived promptly and already had a good idea of the location, showing he put in the time to research the location prior. The engagement session was so much fun! We went to the place we had our first date, LA Burdick, and Sarah captured so many cute photos of us drinking hot chocolate together. We then walked around Cambridge and had some really fun impromptu photos at a flower shop. We loved the engagement photos so much we used them on our save-the-dates and incorporated them into the wedding decor! It was so awesome having Sarah and John both capture all of our special moments on the day of the wedding, from getting ready (BOTH me and my husband have a bunch of awesome getting ready photos!), our first look and portraits before the ceremony, the ceremony itself, cocktail hour, reception festivities, and incredibly artistic details shots. They are both so much fun and offer cute suggestions for poses, but they also go with the flow if you have fun ideas you want to try! We got a lot of really sweet unplanned photos throughout the night. I didn't know anything about different photography styles before we hired them (we just liked their work and they were super friendly), but they really are so experienced with candid/documentary style photography. We love having photos where we can see all the sincere emotions on our faces from laughing, crying with joy, and pure bliss, in addition to our more posed portrait-style photos. Sarah's editing is so dreamy across all our engagement and wedding photos. We now have our walls at home covered in their photography - they did such an amazing job capturing all the fun parts of our day! As a really sweet bonus, they recorded video of our first dance and ceremony upon our request, along with a lot of fun highlights that we get to watch to relive the memories now. “We first chatted with Max over Facetime and based on his cool, confident personality, we knew he would be able to do an outstanding job with our Boston Desi-American fusion wedding. His style of photography and editing stood out from the scores of photographers we were picking from on IG. Max worked closely with me (the bride) to coordinate themes, vibes, outfits, and location for our engagement photoshoot. While we were a whole hour late to our shoot because of Boston traffic, he was extremely kind and accommodating, making the most out of the situation and still delivering amazing photos. When I received the photos from him, my husband and I were blown away – he did some stunning portraits of myself, as well as gorgeous shots of us as a couple. We then coordinated wedding details – we opted for a video and photo package. Max’s team was so professional and knew where to situate themselves throughout the day once I gave them my schedule for the day – from Bridal gowngetting readyjewlery details, First Look, Bridal party portraits, Family portraits, solos, ceremony shots, cocktail hour, all the way to reception and EVERYTHING in between. The day was full of surprises and delays (as are most wedding days with lots of family and moving parts) but Max and his team DID NOT MISS A BEAT. They managed my bridal groom party with ease, and rallied everyone necessary for all the requested photos. Do I need to mention the beautiful final shots?
