Sixty Acres, A Gathering Place is a barn wedding venue located in Mount Pleasant, NC which is located 35 minutes from downtown Charlotte, 20 minutes from Concord, NC, and 20 minutes from Albemarle, NC. The property is set on 60 acres of picturesque farmland, adding to its charming, rustic atmosphere. The restored Historic Melrose Knitting Mill is a three-story brick mill, nestled in downtown Raleigh. The venue boasts exposed bricks, rough cut beams and twenty-four arched windows, providing an abundance of natural light. After opening one of Downtown Raleigh’s most vibrant restaurants on the ground level, creative director Samad Hachby renovated the third-story space to accommodate the larger weddings, special events, and parties that his restaurant was being sought after to host. Today, the Historic Melrose Knitting Mill sits perched high atop 309 N. Dawson Street welcoming guests to a true destination within the heart of the city.

The venue can seat around 200 guests comfortably. The main space is a dream with beautiful white shiplap walls, gorgeous stained plank cathedral ceiling and lots of natural light. With an “Old World European” vibe and mixed natural textures, The Cellar has 12 taps that vary in NC Craft Beers and the SDC brand of custom meads. The property is located on 18.6 acres, including a vineyard, festival grounds, dry camping, a 9-hole disc golf course, a garden, and our main venue building. The Cellar offers budget-friendly package options, plus a friendly staff that can accommodate both traditional and non-traditional events. In the main venue building, your event space consists of over 3,000 sq ft of open space for tables and chairs, a built-in wooden dance floor, a stage, a bar, and more! Since 2015, our brewery has been the perfect backdrop for hundreds of events including weddings, charity events, corporate functions, business networking and social celebrations! Ironclad Brewery is located in an historic building dating back to 1925 in Downtown Wilmington. The building was completely renovated in 2014, but we've maintained much of the character and integrity of the original building. Our brewers hand forge a wide range of craft beer and hard seltzers, using only the best ingredients available. In addition to our craft beer and seltzer creations, we also serve cider, wine, and spirits. ​
