Located in the heart of Metairie, The Alexander Room and Terrace is truly a hidden gem. The Alexander Room was conceived and built by the International Brotherhood of Electricians in 1984. The intent was for The Alexander Room to be a contender among Metairie’s event venues. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the room was never marketed to the general public. In 2014, Troy and Cindy Timphony of Hobnobber Café were approached with the idea of taking over the catering, management and marketing of the Alexander Room. Over the course of the next few years improvements were made, menus prepared and website and social media added to bring you the polished jewel that is The Alexander Room and Terrace.

We like to do all the heavy lifting for you – providing everything from tables and place settings to excellent service staff and mouthwatering cuisine. Just come with your ideas – big or small – and we’ll get to work making your vision a reality. We welcome outside vendors for enhanced décor, tableware, and more.

When reserving your special day, we aim to make the process as easy as possible and accommodate your needs at every step in the process. In general, our space can accommodate up to 300 guests, and we have multiple spaces in order to make your day special and unique. We allow you to work with any vendors you choose as long as they are licensed and insured, however we are happy to share our favorites with you.

We allow you to bring whatever you care to eat or drink onboard, we provide ice chest, ice, waters, and sodas. The Big Kahuna is an incredibly fun way to get out on the water. The boat is perfect for having a themed wedding, or an intimate family wedding party, or a super fun bachelorette trip.

After decades of rest, the great hall of Sts. Peter & Paul has been lovingly restored with carfeul attention. Built in 1861, every pane of stained glass is infused with history and every brick with stores of days past. The reverberant and resonant hall is located squarely in the Faubourg Marigny, the city's eclectic hub for art, cuisine, and entertainment and only a short walk (or second line) from Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. The church has served as a haven and gathering place for over a century and a half, and now, we open her doors to you and yours. Access to the space for a ceremony, cocktail hour and reception includes a 4.5 hour event. We also welcome ceremony-only and reception-only events. The NOCCA Foundation is the nonprofit that supports the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, which is Louisiana's arts conservatory for high school students. The Terminal, located at Lakefront Airport, is a New Orleans Tradition, dating back to the 1930's. At the time of its grand opening it was considered an architectural masterpiece. Built by the same architect that designed the Louisiana State Capitol building, it was the first major airport in the region, and served proudly as a general aviation airport to this day. Inside the terminal building, travelers would find an Art Deco wonderland, featuring murals by artist Xavier Gonzalez, friezes by Enrique R. Alferez and an array of stone wall and floor treatments.
