About this venue

Built circa 1830, Arlington Mansion is a historic property and wedding venue situated in Franklin, LA. Among seven acres of majestic live oak trees on the banks of the Bayou Teche, this mansion is halfway between Lafayette and New Orleans. The classic Greek Revival mansion is steeped in rich history and southern charm with original cypress floors, ornate ceiling medallions, dazzling chandeliers, and charming antiques. Our manicured English gardens along the bayou provide an elegant backdrop for ceremonies, receptions, and group events. Our luxurious dressing rooms allow the bridal parties to pamper themselves. For those couples that would like to spend their first night with us, we offer decadent accommodations in our honeymoon suite. Our dedicated staff provides personal attention to make sure your perfect day is just as you imagined it.

Under the Oaks and Carriage House

The Carriage House offers a cozy setting for smaller groups indoors. The lawn under the oaks is a magical outdoor setting for larger groups.

The carriage house is perfect for intimate receptions, cocktail hours, showers, and rehearsal dinners. The lawn under the oaks is can accommodate larger parties with a dance floor. It is beautiful open air atmosphere with string light or can also accommodate a tent.

Arlington Mansion where my wedding took place was a picturesque setting, surrounded by lush greenery and charming Southern architecture. The staff at the venue went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect, from the decorations to the catering and overall coordination of the event. In addition to the venue and staff, the overall ambiance of the event was truly magical. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, the impeccable service, and the love and support of our family and friends made for an unforgettable experience that we will cherish for a lifetime.

    My wedding at Arlington Mansion was nothing less that perfect! The mansion and gardens are beautiful and just what I envisioned for my classic southern wedding. I rented the mansion the night before for me and my bridesmaids and the rooms were comfortable and luxurious. My husband and I also stayed in the honeymoon suite the night of our wedding which was the perfect ending to our wedding. The staff were professional and helpful and always ready to answer any questions I had. They went out of their way to make sure that my wedding ran smoothly. We had use of the full property and mansion which is not like anywhere else. And they are right on the waterfront which gave a beautiful ambiance under the oaks. I would definitely recommend Arlington Mansion!
