Working with Marissa and her team at MB Events, was by far the best decision my husband and I could have made during our wedding planning process. Marissa truly goes above and beyond for her clients, and her passion for her work is apparent from start to finish. My husband and I chose a venue where every aspect of our wedding needed to be coordinated with third-party vendors (string quartet, DJ, catering (incl. table, chairs, linens), set up, breakdown, etc). When we realized how much we underestimated the time and coordination needed to plan such an important event, we knew we needed help. Enter: MB Events. From the start, Marissa kept my husband and I organized throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring our vision for the day came to fruition, and truly made our wedding day better than we had ever expected. We planned an outdoor wedding, and inevitably it was supposed to pour (thunder, lightning, flood, tornado warnings), and Marissa and her team worked from sunup to sundown to ensure that our day was exactly as we had imagined, rain or shine. Marissa was an advocate for my husband and I when difficult day-of -decisions needed to be made in relation to the rain, which allowed us to just “focus and take in the moment” which we are extremely grateful for. With some last minute timeline adjustments by Marissa, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony of our dreams. This would not have happened without the expertise and dedication of Marissa and her team. Multiple times throughout the wedding planning process I told my husband that Marissa seems to be the only vendor we chose that is actually “on our side.” We struggled with the organization and responses of other vendors, especially as the wedding season was in full swing, but Marissa never missed a moment. She was professional, quick to respond, and extremely reliable. I know that there are many options when choosing a wedding planner, but I can honestly say, I believe Marissa and her team to be the best there is. Personally, the only downside I’ve found about working with Marissa has been the end of it all… because it feels kind of like I don’t have my best friend around anymore!

Like a coach, she put a few of my expectations, all of my anxiety and some of my to-do list in check, but did so with such professionalism and calmness, that I feel in hindsight her fee was more than worth it. I was apprehensive about paying a planner for something I truly believed I could do. Later than I'd like to admit, I became overwhelmed and seriously behind as the actual day neared. I was referred to Nina by my fiancé's friend [note that my fiancé was so over me planning the wedding me on my own]. I had fun on my day, I was relaxed and look like I was truly enjoying our day in ALL the photos. Adding that Nina also flew in a DJ from Miami who I was and am a fan of. I thought it would be a gazillion dollars, but it was just a little bit more than the local DJs. Her industry experience def gives her an edge and made us look super cool.

Even with me being in the industry Brooklyn would ask me questions leading up to the big day I didn't even know I had, she made sure I knew when and how to get my marriage license and took care of sending it back to the clerk for us. She made all the difference plus she continued to come and check in in me to see how I was doing throughout the getting ready process and has the calmest nature helping me to feel ready before I walked down the aisle. not only did she handle coordination and officiating the wedding she sprinkled in some extra magic by taking some gorgeous photos throughout the day and sent them to me the morning after the wedding so I would have a little something until my professional photos arrived! I am so utterly grateful to Brooklyn for making the best day of my life utterly perfect. Erika was our day of coordinator! She was absolutely amazing from the start I met her through referrals on FB, to the meet up to go over all the details, to the venue visit, to the rehearsal dinner, and finally the wedding day! She jumped into action right away and was always so joyful and happy to be around-which is the type of person you want to work with! She set up the entire barn while everyone was getting ready. Kaity did a great job, especially considering all the uncertainty of bad weather (my ceremony was outdoors) we had to all deal with. She always had an upbeat and positive attitude the whole time, which I know can be very difficult to do around my family. She definitely would just roll with all the punches to keep us on track. I was anxious the entire day, but Kaity reassured me that she had everything under control and I knew I could trust her. She even went out of her way to get me and my husband little care packages on the day of, with inspiring notes. The only hiccups I actually noticed was with announcements and speeches, because the volume and echo was not great, so people didn't know when things were actually happening, so I wish we could've told the DJ sooner to fix the issue. We had also wanted to have our dinners boxed up, because my husband and I were both too anxious and excited to really eat, so our food ended up being thrown away, plus we didn't receive the top tier of our wedding cake to save for the tradition thing (but my guess is because they served it all to the guests). Unfortunately, at the end of the night, we were super rushed to get everything out of the building, because of the time and the pouring rain- I was running around barefoot in my dress while my husband was passed out in the car, and I was one of the few trying to get everything packed and cleaned up. However, Kaity and her husband really helped us out by collecting all the left items and holding onto them for us until the next day. She kept in contact, since at least a month beforehand, to make sure we had everything in order and sent her all the vendor contacts , so she could be included with all the day-of plans. She really did go above and beyond to make sure I had the best day possible, and I really appreciated that from her. I would definitely hire her again.

She reached out 3 months before our date with an extensive questionnaire which helped us think about every detail (even ones we had no idea that we had to plan for or think about). Starting one month before our date, Danielle created a timeline and started coordinating with all our vendors. She was also available for questions and to bounce ideas off of beforehand. On the day of, Danielle made us feel at ease - she handled venue decor and ensured everything was set up as we imagined (honestly better than we envisioned), helped us pick a perfect first look spot after our original plan fell through, was flexible about changes to our timeline on the day of and helped with the breakdown of the venue (including making sure all rented items were not lost and returned to vendors!). We felt like she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day and could tell she is someone who really enjoys making brides and grooms happy! Hiring a day of coordinator is totally worth the investment – if you’re on the fence, do it! Highly recommend Danielle!
