The Athenaeum is a beautifully preserved antebellum building, now serving as an art gallery. One of only two remaining examples of Neoclassical Greek Revival architecture in Alexandria, its exterior features an impressive portico supported by soaring Doric columns. Oversized windows bring natural light to the main gallery rooms, which boast 24-foot ceilings, wonderful woodwork, and exposed granite walls lined with rotating art exhibits. Your ceremony can be held in the sweet, private courtyard. This quaint, romantic space has a “secret garden” feel, sheltered from the street by high, vine-covered red brick walls. Please note wheelchair access is available only on the main floor. A/V equipment is available but limited. The Athenaeum is available for viewing during gallery hours or by appointment. The Anchorage, with origins back to 1800, is a Federal Telescopic Tidewater style B&B with waterfront views and three guest rooms available to the wedding party situated on the beautiful Choptank River. We offer a relaxed, peaceful and romantic experience on the shores of the river, which is part of the Chesapeake Bay waterway. The venue is nestled on 12 acres of waterfront property with forest on either side and protected wetlands.

The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department rents out its meeting hall to individuals, local businesses, community groups and organizations. All proceeds from this rental are used to support the department's operations. The Community Hall is available for rent on most Mondays through Saturdays and is an excellent venue for Wedding Receptions, Children’s Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, or Business Conferences. (The hall is not available on Sundays due to our weekly Bingo Fundraiser.)

The Wharf Dockmaster Building is located at the end of District Pier and your rental includes the space on the pier around it. The Barn at Ivy Neck is nestled on 14 generations of family-owned farmland, right on the edge of the Chesapeake Bay. Surrounded by beautiful lavender fields and a breathtaking heart-shaped arch, The Barn at Ivy Neck is the perfect place to gather, celebrate, and grow.

Construction on Powerhouse began in 1915 as part of an expansion project by the D.C. Paper Manufacturing Company. In 1917, the building began operating as a power plant for the paper company. Just a few short years later in 1919, Capitol Traction Company purchased Powerhouse to use as trolley car storage until 1932. In more recent years, Powerhouse has been used for event and office space. Today, the iconic smokestack still stands 150 feet above the building, symbolizing its towering impact on the history and culture of Georgetown.

Ìpàdé is one of Washington, DC's most unique venues, located in Dupont Circle. Our venue is flexible to a variety of needs from bridal showers to rehearsal dinners to intimate weddings. The space can comfortably hold up to 100 guests standing and 70 seated banquet style. In addition to a large banquet area, there are 4 rooms you can use to get ready, store items and gifts, or use for catering preparation. There are also two bathrooms to accommodate your guests.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, our meeting house was constructed in 1930 during the administration of the Quaker president, Herbert Hoover. It was built to serve as a house of worship and a gathering place for those wanting to “seek peace and pursue it.” The building was enlarged in 1950. In 1970, we acquired the red brick Quaker House, Carriage House and garden at 2121 Decatur Place NW. Built in the 1920s and also on the National Register, these buildings today house a number of nonprofit organizations and small businesses as well as additional event spaces. All Souls Church, built in the 1920s, is a faithful copy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields of London. Our historic house of worship features a a bell cast in 1822 by Paul Revere's son and a Sanctuary that seats up to 700 guests amidst Corinthian columns and the resonant strains of the famous Reiger Organ. Located in Fairfax County near Clifton, VA, Whitehall Farm offers 205+ acres of picturesque secluded woodlands filled with local wildlife, forested streams, and rolling pasture. Whitehall Farm has been in the Vazquez family for 60 years, and is currently run by Nadine Vazquez. Ms. Vazquez and her husband rebuilt Whitehall as a working educational farm, with the hope of permanently preserving it as an open space in an increasingly crowded Fairfax County. The barn will seat approximately 150 for a reception with dance floor. The barn has 2 private dressing suites, a caterer’s kitchen/prep area, and bar area. We will provide high quality chairs for indoor ceremony and tables and chairs for the reception.
