Shell’s Loft Red Hook is a one-of-a-kind venue with a modern Brooklyn loft feel that's woven with historical character. Located in the heart of Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood, the beautiful loft space features high ceilings, wooden beams, and breathtaking skylights. You're welcome to utilize the gorgeous furnishings and giant plants that come with the space, or bring your own unique vision to life. With tables and chairs for up to 150 people, Shell's Loft has made it easy to plan your celebration. Shell's Loft Red Hook offers 6000 square feet of wide open indoor space. The main event space can adapt to the ceremony and reception alike, with a maximum capacity of 250 people standing and up to 150 people seated comfortably. Meanwhile, 6,000 square feet of gated open space just outside the main doors allows the wedding festivities to extend outdoors. We've made things easy with our in-house bar service—choose from a variety of packages.

Shell's Loft features 6000 SQ FT of indoor space and an additional 6000 SQ FT of outdoor space. Featuring exposed brick accent walls, metal ceiling details, and sleek, polished concrete floors, the loft emulates industrial-chic Brooklyn design. There are separate interior ceremony and reception areas, and you are also welcome to extend your event to the 6,000-square-foot outdoor space.

Was hoping to get professional photos before leaving this review, but guest photos will suffice and I'll come back later with more. Shell's Loft was the perfect spot for our wedding and everything came together there so well with minimal stress! Steve and the entire Shell's Loft team responded to every phone call and email quickly, they were extremely flexible with our schedule, getting into the space, accommodating the deliveries and vendors, and went way above and beyond to help make the day come together. They were able to flex a little bit with the bar package so I could get one of my favorite cocktails on the menu, were happy to help us out with furniture, and at one point when we were dealing with an electrical issue (with our equipment, not there's) they even brought in an electrician to help us resolve it at the last minute! They have a roster of experienced vendors that we tapped into for lighting and music who knew the space well, worked quickly, and delivered an incredible experience to the guests. The sun came in through the skylights and large windows during the ceremony and when the sun went down and the lighting came on, the space absolutely came alive for the party. The pictures are great, but even they don't do it justice. Steve knows the area well and was helpful advising on parking, afterparty spots, had great ideas for food and dessert options, and was an all around enthusiastic collaborator. I could ramble about this further, but suffice to say, they do an exceptional job at being responsive and flexible, and they brainstormed and collaborated with us on ideas for the event and were happy to help us with solutions and access to vendors and experts.

Shell's Loft Red Hook was the perfect venue for our wedding. The venue manager, Steve, was an absolute gem to work with - such a nice, easygoing guy and he had great communication throughout the planning process. This space was a true blank slate that we were able to transform exactly how we wanted. A huge perk was that they had a lot of furniture and decor already available in-house, including some beautiful large plants that we loved incorporating. The outdoor space and parking lot were also huge benefits for us and our guests. Overall, this venue was an incredible value and we couldn't have been happier with how our wedding day turned out at Shell's Loft Red Hook.

We had a fabulous wedding at Shell’s Loft! The venue was spacious and beautiful and the staff was on the ball. My husband and I reserved the venue a full year in advance and corresponded with Steve regularly. Our group size was 128 people. We conducted two site visits after the initial viewing and finalized last details weeks ahead of the date due to changing headcount. The most important facet of wedding planning is having responsive vendors and Steve made himself available for calls and responded to emails promptly. The evening was spectacular and we were impressed by the professionalism of the staff. One of our vendors was late, which impacted the time for table setting. Steve and his team did their best to move every other facet forward to keep the schedule on track. They were kind and helpful to parents and made guests feel welcome. Overall we had a 10/10 experience.

Our building is located 12 miles away from LaGuardia Airport and 20 miles from JFK Airport.

Shell’s Loft includes a 900 sq. ft kitchen featuring ample counter space, 1 refrigerator, 1 deep freezer, and 1 compartment sink. There are two separate service entrances into the kitchen. Caterers may opt to bring in additional cooking equipment. Please check with your venue coordinator for any restrictions. We only allow reputable catering companies to use the kitchen.

While generally only allow pets during wedding ceremonies—but the pet must be well-behaved and on a leash. You MUST receive prior approval for this. The pet cannot remain in the space after the ceremony / during the reception.
