About this venue
This Georgian styled house boasts flexible banquet space including four gathering rooms, bridal suites and intimate garden and lawn for outdoor events. Kentlands Mansion is conveniently located in Gaithersburg, Maryland with easy access to I-270, nearby hotels, dining and shopping. The Tschiffely-Kent property has been a landmark along Darnestown Road since 1900. The stately mansion was built by Frederick Tschiffely, and later sold to Otis Beall Kent in 1942. The elegant property now belongs to the City of Gaithersburg, and is an ideal venue for weddings, receptions, social functions and business meetings.

Yellow Room

This room is the largest room in the Mansion is named for the color of the walls. The hardwood floors provide an ideal dance floor and the 22 foot ceilings allow for excellent acoustics.

Music Room
Allow us to make your dreams come true!
A 1950 addition to the original house, the Music Room features mahogany-paneled walls accented by a coved ceiling. Used primarily for indoor ceremonies and dining space. The Music Room is joined to the Yellow Room and a canopied porch. The home’s original doorbell is still in the room and, although it is no longer used, if rung it can be heard throughout the Mansion.

Located next to the Music Room, the canopied porch allows guests to enjoy the experience of being outdoors while having some protection for the weather. The sides of the canopy can be rolled up or down depending on the conditions. The porch is most commonly used as event seating or a cocktail area.

Love Kentlands Mansion!
Kentlands Mansion is a unique and extremely affordable venue in Gaithersburg, MD. They allow you to bring in whatever vendors you like and also to provide your own alcohol which saves a ton of money too! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The Mansion is settled in the cutest neighborhood and faces a lake! It has a great little side garden, a back porch and huge front lawn with ample free parking for your guests. The inside is set up as a house so it has a few rooms that your guests can mingle through which creates great flow in your event! It doubles as an art gallery too which is super cool! The KM staff are always helpful, clear and responsive with any questions you may have. They also offer an add-on of a Coordinator for a super reasonable rate, especially when compared to others in the area.
Charmed Castle
I recommend the Kentlands Mansion not only because of its charm but for the easiness it was to work with the staff. This was our first annual Christmas Party and we did not need to bring any additional decorations because the Mansion was beautifully decorated and created a warm holiday feeling for us and our guests. There was plenty of parking which is normally a concern with events but not here. I also liked that when it got a little warm because of dancing that we were able to step out on the canopied porch for some fresh air but was still able to hear the music. Looking forward to another event at the Mansion!
