The Plus Ones provide tailored live music for your special day. Our mission is to create memorable entertainment for you and your guests during this once in a lifetime moment. We offer a variety of musician combinations and will help you choose the right one for your celebration. Solo and duo musicians are the perfect choice for an outdoor ceremony in either Prospect Park, Brooklyn or Central Park, Manhattan. The Plus Ones have performed for all types of ceremonies and parties. We also provide acoustic music for proposals and for couples traveling to NYC to elope.
Owner Gerald Edward is a seasoned guitarist and vocalist living in NYC and has performed at over 500 weddings throughout his career. Gerald and the Plus Ones are able to perform music spanning many eras and genres. With 15 years of experience, you can trust us to help find the right songs and style for your event. We take special requests and cover your favorites for processional, recessional, and first dance.

Absolutely incredible!
We hired Gerald and his 5-piece band ("The Plus Ones") for our wedding last September and CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH! From the very beginning, Gerald was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, listening to our requests and going above and beyond to create a personalized setlist that perfectly represented our taste. Gerald’s ability to fill in the blanks and suggest songs that complemented our selections was truly impressive. The band’s seamless integration of our requests created a truly memorable experience for our wedding, one that represented “us” perfectly. Gerald’s solo guitar performances during cocktail hour and the ceremony added a light and beautiful touch to the day’s events. The entire band as a whole was professional and true masters of their craft. The female lead singer has an INCREDIBLE voice and stage presence that kept our guests entertained throughout the night. We received countless compliments on the band, with many people mentioning how much fun they had dancing and singing along. The Plus Ones, with Gerald at the helm, truly made our wedding a night to remember, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic band for their special event.

HIRE Gerald and the Plus Ones!!!!! I first heard Gerald play at a friends rehearsal dinner (sadly after I already hired my wedding band), and knew immediately I needed to hire him for my rehearsal/ wedding welcome drinks. Gerald immediately got the vibe of the night and was truly just smashing hit after hit and created the best ambiance and energy. The vibes were seriously immaculate thanks to him. I wish I could go back in time and hire him for my wedding night- I kid you not- and I will regret that I didn’t forever. Not only is he an awesome musician, but Gerald is truly the nicest man you’ll ever meet. Because I’m a last minute person, I think I asked Gerald maybe a week or so before the event to learn a special song for me, and without any issues or hesitation, he did and he killed it. He was even happy and eager to do so. He also took song requests while he was playing and gosh, he really just made the night so wonderful and so special. If I could give him 100000 stars I would. This guy will make any night a great one. Don’t think, just hire him.
The Plus Ones are top notch!
We hired a seven piece band with Gerald and The Plus Ones for our wedding this past June and are so happy with the entertainment they provided us! We received several compliments on the band and they kept the party going into the night. Our guests had so much fun on the dance floor and the band was very easy to work with. Not only did they have a great song selection, but they were willing to learn new songs for us and also play them in styles that we asked. We could not have been more pleased with their performance! You will not regret hiring the Plus Ones for your event!

Gerald was the guitarist and vocalist at our garden wedding ceremony in the Brooklyn. His beautiful performance truly set the tone for the event. His playing and singing were spot on. He came with an extensive song list while also learning our chosen songs for the occasion. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have Gerald as our wedding musician. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a talented and dedicated performer.
