As part of the planning process, we sought out a preservation artist who could freeze this element of our wedding forever in time. I found Jackie of Evergreen Botanical Studio and her 3-D preservation style matched exactly what I was looking for, so we booked our date with her as soon as we could. She was the PERFECT choice. She took my crazy wild bouquet, my grandmother’s handkerchiefs that wrapped the stems, all the extra flowers from the arrangements, and even some delphinium from her own garden (because she's such an angel and took pity on me that mine didn’t quite survive), and created a work of art that takes me directly back to my wedding day and reminds me of all the amazingness that unfolded. AND she crafted the most wonderful little memento for my Mom, that was completed in time to gift for her 50th wedding anniversary, just months after our event. A story similar to many others during the recent years, when Anika's steady work in TV/Film came to a grinding halt during the pandemic, she asked herself "now what?!" Soon after, she rediscovered her love of flowers and decided to take on small projects when she had the time. Born was her love affair for flowers and specifically her company, Marigolds Florals. Now offering bookings for weddings and events in 2025-2026 she is ready to take Marigolds to the next level.

“When you spend months communicating through a phone and blindly trust your florist to see the vision through - and she absolutely does!! I cannot express how grateful I was to find Marigolds Florals!! We specifically wanted to support small businesses with a priority on minority/woman owned. Afterall, small businesses and creatives literally keep art, passion, and customer service alive in an economy where everything seems transactional.
