Our venue features a large, welcoming fireplace, exposed knotty pine hardwood, rustic beams, corrugated steel, and incandescent lighting that casts a warm, inviting glow. We welcome our guests to bring in the vendors of their choice. A catering room, accommodations for a band/DJ, and a bride and groom lounge are all available. Iris Aisle is a Victorian greenhouse that sits amongst our cedar grove in Madison County, Iowa. We built Iris Aisle ourselves, around the idea of creating a sanctuary where nature lovers could come to feel at home and be surrounded by medicinal plants and herbs and all of nature’s wonder, inside and out. Simplicity is our goal here, so we only host events of 75 or fewer people. We knew we wanted this place to be geared toward smaller weddings, because there is no other place in Iowa that does. I am lucky; I get to do what I love for a living, have a ton of fun doing it, and meet a lot of great people along the way. It's a bonus that I get to also travel a lot for it as well. I hope to always bring that enthusiasm and fun to every wedding as well. I tell myself before every wedding to treat it like it was my very first. I do only weddings, and I only do 30 per year. This lets me focus on my couples and their weddings, and to tell their stories completely. Over 400 weddings spanning 12+ years. And I have never missed a one. Not even late. I may not take myself too seriously, but I take my commitment to my couple seriously.
