“My wife and I were so fortunate to have picked DJ Torpedo & Co. for our May 2024 wedding in Georgetown. I feel music and the emcee often makes or breaks a great wedding, so I spent considerable time reviewing possible DJs to work with. We ended up going to DJ Addison, who at the time was considered a "first-year DJ." He exceeded all expectations. Addison was simply a treat to work with in the planning stages and was exceptionally on point and professional during the wedding day. He's funny but classy, professional but not uptight, willing to make on-the-fly changes, and kept the dance floor hopping during the reception. From his bridal party introductions to saying goodbye at the end of the night, he was simply great. Our wedding was moved inside at the last minute due to rain and he somehow relocated his setup on the fly and didn't complain or seem stressed during the chaos. The app has YouTube integration that allows you to easily assemble your playlists. “BVTLive! was all around an excellent choice for our wedding. DJ Linx was amazing! His communication was incredible; he responded to our emails and messages quickly, usually within a few minutes to an hour. We ran through the whole night with him in a few video calls leading up to the wedding. We went through all family intro pronunciations and he double checked with everyone the day-of to make sure everything was correct. He worked with our day-of coordinator to ensure the timeline was correct and everything ran smoothly. We gave him a few spotify playlists that he stuck to very well, with a few additions that were perfect. He read the room very well and everyone had a great time - kids, adults, and older relatives. The midnighters were super easy to work with! They performed for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. He really came in asking what I wanted, I told him what I liked and he pulled together the most incredible selection of musicians, playlist of songs and order of service. My husband wanted a few obscure film scores in the ceremony, and JB not only knew them off the top of his head, he arranged them all for strings! I didn’t know what music I wanted for the recessional so I just told him what kind of thing I liked, but that I’d prefer something unknown. He pulled out three amazing options. Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. “Kelton from Marquee Artists was amazing! He was a communicative and active participant in the planning of the music and the announcements at my wedding on March 9. Kelton provided an extensive list of potential songs to play in a shared Google Document with columns for “play” and “do not play” which was great. Also, I was impressed that he attended the walk through of the Whittemore House a month prior to the wedding, asking pertinent questions of the Whittemore staff about the placement of various things and how best to provide the sound amplification that would be needed. He provided wireless mics which worked really well for the toasts. Kelton did a great job as the master of ceremony and his mix of the selected music was fun and fabulous. He had the crowd dancing, rocking to the music. Many of the older folks told me that they hadn’t danced in years but were having lots of fun doing so then. Having him on our wedding team instilled so much confidence in me, my daughter and new son-in-law, who is an amateur DJ.
