Thank you, DJ Ed!
DJ Ed was so accommodating in bringing our medieval fantasy cocktail hour to life. It perfectly set the mood I was looking for, and I was so happy that he was able to play our nontraditional music selections; thankfully he was able to use a Spotify playlist I had made just for cocktail hour. I received so many compliments on the music from my guests, and he kept them dancing for hours! But the one thing Ed did that I was most impressed with and touched by, was him picking the perfect next song when my husband was dancing with his daughter. Our photographer was able to get some beautiful photos of the moment, and we will be treasuring them for years. Without Ed's instincts and quick thinking, we wouldn't have those photos. I can't thank Ed enough, and I highly recommend you consider him for your DJing needs.
WONDERFUL SERVICE!!
DJ Edward Zaruba and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our initial conversations, his communication style was clear, considerate, kind, and attentive - he really took the time to understand our vision and preferences. On the day of, his team quickly adapted when we needed to rearrange the setup, and they made it happen seamlessly without any disruption. The music and energy they brought was fun and energetic; I could not be happier with the result! Thanks to DJ Zaruba and his family for such a wonderful night that we'll never forget!
Bride
Ed was easy to work with. We had a small wedding and a dinner party playlist. My one complaint is that Ed went off-playlist with dance music near the end of our reception, which wasn’t the vibe I wanted.

DJ Ed Zaruba is awesome and we would certainly recommend his services for your big event! DJ Ed is on Hayfield Country Club’s preferred vendor list for a reason. A few small issues “day of,” but ultimately our event was amazing thanks to Ed! We explored several DJ options for our wedding and really liked the vibes from Ed/Jess - he’s been in the business for nearly two decades, and the family dynamic / supporting a small business appealed to us much more than some huge company. Ed/Jess were super responsive throughout the process, getting everything set up for us to curate our music selection and remained available to answer questions. We had a phone call with Ed two weeks before the wedding, sharing with him a google doc capturing our event timeline and going over particular requests for our reception. He made sure to download all the special songs and verify the version with us. We overall left the phone call in a great place, confident in the main event! Ceremony was executed perfectly and sound quality was great - He also provided lapel microphones for the officiant and the groom. He nailed all the important first dance/”special” songs and even a mid-reception Halloween Set with specific fade-ins and outs. Really impressive blending of songs and kept the dance floor moving! He chimed in at appropriate times and has a fitting DJ voice - He does his job by managing the flow of events, but does not steal the show. Despite the previous coordination, Ed did try to end the reception an hour early, missed a few “must play” songs, and his wife/assistant Jess did not attend the wedding even though we had already paid for her as a vendor. Overall, small issues that were ultimately unnoticed aside from bride/groom. The event was great and we would absolutely rehire and recommend DJ Ed Zaruba for your wedding!
