The Edison Downtown is a brand new wedding and event venue in downtown Schenectady and established in 2021. The venue is exclusively catered and owned by Seasons Catering where they are excited to begin hosting events. This venue holds the history from when Thomas Edison came to Schenectady to start up Edison Machine Works and when he combined it into the Edison General Electric company in 1889. After - the building transformed into the Schenectady Gazette headquarters. Our packages are designed to leave you happy and satisfied, but if anything needs to be altered to better suit your vision, our coordinator will be available to you, as a trusted resource you can rely on. We include chiavari chairs, custom linens, elegant glass ware & flatware- at no extra cost to you! We offer an on-site outdoor ceremony space that is covered with a retractable awning. The on-site ceremony space looks over the Normanskill Creek for perfect sunsets photos and guests' views.
