Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. As we renovated this historic 1921 Cadillac Dealership, we respected its character and kept the exposed brick walls, original black & white marble Showroom floor and lofty 30' ceilings with skylights. Initially, the 62-acre Het Landhuis Estate was part of a 1,000-acre farm owned by the Henderson family who operated a tanyard in the area, making saddles and other leather items. One day a future bride drove past Het Landhuis; she stopped in the main driveway and asked if she could get married there. That conversation changed the course of the estate, and Het Landhuis had its Grand Opening in 2010. Het Landhuis is not your ordinary location for a wedding; this becomes obvious once you visit the grounds and look at the eight different venues the estate offers.
