Additional tents can be erected for as a safeguard in the case of inclement weather and a 57 x 117ft Sailcloth tent is included with the venue rental.

Inspired by his poem "To One in Paradise," the Museum's Enchanted Garden was created in 1922 to pay tribute to this passion. The Gardens at the Poe Museum are the convergence of many aspects of the history and culture of Richmond. The landscape captures the romance and mystery of Poe's work while also paying homage to the southern tradition of gardening. High on a bluff towering over the James River, this exquisite Georgian Revival offers 16,000 square feet of opulence, built by Taylor and Parrish Construction from 1981-1987. This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. Available for events year-round, Burlington is a wedding venue located in Charles City, Virginia. The main house was first built in 1818 and has been recently restored and expanded. Burlington offers couples the exclusive use of the property for the duration of their occasion. Two outdoor ceremony sites are available, as well as an expansive indoor ceremony space that can double as a reception venue. The indoor wedding space in the Stables features exposed wooden beams and custom chandeliers, while the gardens and lawn offer views of the surrounding countryside for an outdoor ceremony. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces can accommodate up to 300 seated guests. The Bridal Cottage and Groom's Den allow the wedding party a private location to prepare themselves and relax before the ceremony. The Ice House Bar, an additional space converted from an 18th-century colonial ice house, can host cocktail receptions.

Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite to get ready.
