Panoramic waterfront views, light and airy barn-inspired architecture, and unparalleled service and support make The Boathouse at Sunday Park a destination-worthy venue just minutes from Richmond. Our couples have the opportunity to work with two impeccable event spaces: The Ceremony Garden exudes an ambiance of tranquility with 360-degree scenic views. To enhance the experience a tent can be erected allowing guests to continue to enjoy the outside natural splendor regardless of the weather. The Garden Pavillion is a fully-enclosed event private event building with heating and air-conditioning for year-round comfort. The venue can host upwards of 150 people and more than 200 with additional tenting.

The Garden Pavilion

Destination-worthy venue just minutes from Richmond

Located next to the Boathouse at Sunday Park in a fully enclosed, heated and air-conditioned building with a wood-burning fireplace. Glass doors on one side of the Pavilion open onto a private deck overlooking the lake. The Garden Pavilion can seat up to 100 guests. With additional tenting the capacity increases to 200 seated guests, or 250 for a stand-up event.

We had the BEST day ever thanks to the venue and coordinators. Working with The Boathouse was the absolute best experience we could have ever wished for which helped make our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and reception a literal walk in the park. Communication and coordination down to the smallest of details was pristine, making everything stress free. The coordinators, specifically Amanda, were an absolute pleasure to work with which inherently gave us the upmost confidence that the day would go off without a hitch or any bumps in the road. Our day couldn’t have been more perfect and with this, we HIGHLY recommend The Boathouse at Sunday Park.

The Boathouse at Sunday Park provided a stunning venue for our wedding. Kristan Hughes, the event coordinator, was extremely prompt and sincere in her communication, providing detailed responses to all our questions. The natural beauty and spaciousness of the venue, with its gorgeous views, perfectly complemented our wedding vision. On the big day, Kristan made sure everything ran smoothly so I felt relaxed rather than stressed. She brought my dream wedding to life by making sure all the details were organized and set up just as I had hoped. I cannot recommend Kristan and the Boathouse highly enough for couples looking for a venue that will contribute to a special, memorable wedding day.

My husband and I were married at The Boathouse at Sunday Park this summer and we could not have been happier with our venue choice. Amanda was so enthusiastic and timely in responding to all of our questions during the planning process, and her extensive knowledge of weddings ensured that no detail was overlooked. On the big day itself, the staff went above and beyond decorating the venue with the items we had dropped off the day before, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special moment. The Boathouse at Sunday park, which overlooks the lake, was the perfect romantic backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Everything was lovely and ran so smoothly thanks to Amanda's careful orchestration. We are so grateful to her for helping our wedding vision come to life seamlessly.
